Hello, everyone! after dealing with real life and the other nonsense of living, panny and i have decided to bring back war of change. give a round of applause. we’ve worked through all of the information and hopefully improved coherency and cohesion; however, tell us if we missed something. eventually, we’ll announce an event to celebrate the re-opening, so look out for information on that. -RAIDNE, THE HEAD ADMIN
From the moonless night, screams of terror and fear resound, spreading across the world and infecting the masses; however, those sleepless nights occurred years ago. A new era began with the fires of war, and with no end in sight, the residents of Selene Isle trudge through life, basking in the momentary peace. Despite their prayers for continued monotony and peace, a storm brews, stirred to life by the continued presence of Rapture and Wraith. And as we set our sights on the seemingly peace laden isle, we must ask: how shall this tale end?
As the years passed, the number of true pairs increased; however, they continued to live in the shadows, catering to the whims of the mundane. Seven Moons kept watch over them all, instructing them and assisting them, but for many, the attitudes and ideals of the organization were smoldering, suffocating. With Seven Moons and the mundanes, they could not grasp the freedom, the power dangling before their eyes. In the beginning, rebellion was a dream, a fantasy, a figment—developed by the repressed and carried forward due to the nature of humanity. No one expected the call to sound, and no one expected the call to be answered. However, it happened.
"Ah! I'm sorry! I... I didn't mean anything weird! I'm so-sorry if I... well, I'm just too happy!"
TAGS: @ame || NOTES: DON'T SLAP HIM. HE WAS TOO EAGER ABOUT THIS XP
The softness in every move she mad was like a reminder to Leon's conscious mind that this girl was unlike any other girl out there. The petite physique and gentle voice that lingered in his ears like a melody from the Heaven soothed him. He wondered which one of them was the Fighter. He prayed quickly in his heart that this girl will not be the Sacrifice.
"Sacrifice needs to be able to take on all pain delivered by the enemies." Haine told him with her eyes glaring sharply at a training doll in front of her. Leon remembered he was sitting behind her, watching as she was preparing to initiate an attack on to the lifeless thing. Leon tilted his head and repeated her words, "Take on all pain delivered?" He was not sure what it meant. Working together with someone in a unit. Would not that mean both will suffer the damage equally? Why would only the Sacrifice receive the pain? His tone remarked his wonder regarding the topic, which Haine understood perfectly. He knew nothing about the unit system, and he was young. So, she can't blame him. Her eyes fixed on the human-sized puppet while her hand slowly moved in front of her. It bent so the palm was facing close to her face. The silvery eyes closed and as she drowned herself in her own flow of time, ripples of wind began to evoke from beneath her. Little by little the ripples grew further and further from her until it almost hit Leon, who was sitting on top of a wooden box. He was clueless about it at first and suddenly the boy's eyes changed into narrowed predator-like eyes.
"Oi." With just one word the ripples vanished, just like that, and Haine regained her posture. She stood straight and turned behind for Leon- no, Dante. The woman chuckled in amused when the older and aggressive persona spoke, "There's a polite way to ask me to come out, rather than pissing me off by trying to hurt Leon damn it." It was a dirty trick and it was not her first time trying to lure the dark side of Leon out through sneak attacks like this. Haine shook her head, remaining chuckling, and said, "Apologies. I like poking that stern look of yours. It's amusing."
Amusing? "However... aside from the amusement, you should have realized why I did such reckless thing... shouldn't you?"
Of course he has realized it. He noticed the pattern in her approach. Some were meant to increase his sensitivity so he could react quickly to any form of threats on Leon. Some were an act to distract Leon. There were also moments where her doings seemed nothing more but a reason-less act to get under his skin. Dante eyed the two back.
So what should I do next, Haine?
Back to the two newly met unit partners. Leon blushed once again when the angel of his spoke about how he would feel the chillness of the night. Ah, yes, cold. Not everyone was fond of the cold. He even despised cold. Still, she seemed to be suffering worse cold scenario compared to him. At least his under shirt comes with sleeves on. Next, she agreed to follow him. At first, Leon seemed to only shrug his shoulders. He completely understood if she rejected him. Then, he realized she did not reject him but rather gave him an amount of hours so they could have a quick visit at his place and send her back. Reddish ears flapped lightly over the good news.
"Really?! Wah, I am so happy about this Ame! Thank you!" He literally skid on one foot and in a quick reflex due to the overwhelming feelings of joy, he embraced her from behind. His arms wrapped around her and his side cheek leaned against her bushy white ponytail. Ah, this was indeed the best thing in his life! He let her go and took a few steps back only to realize what he had done. The olive eyes widened as he gasped.
"Ah! I'm sorry! I... I didn't mean anything weird! I'm so-sorry if I... well, I'm just too happy!" He panicked. His hands waved in front of him left to right quickly in denial in case she was thinking him as a pervert. Oh no, Leon was as innocent as a little baby. He would not do something inappropriate! He turned away with cheeks remained reddish and brought both hands closed to his chest. His heart literally beat so loud that he felt it was about to leap out of its cavity. That was damn close!
LOL.... oh gods, congrats you made the girl actually feel something rather than being a rock. xD

What....
Should she do?
The question lingered in her mind, it prodded at her, making its presence known throughout every thought that entered her mind. It was there, still waiting for the child to prod it back and examine the uncertainties dwelled in her psyche. All of this, the sensation, the mix of anxiety and sudden relief all being fused together into something that she in all her years of reading the human psyche failed to comprehend.
Her guardians might know... the human mind had been the duo’s playground since time knew how to walk. They might knew, the Italian child reasoned with herself. Great... she was reasoning about something she couldn’t understand... her upbringing truly bit her right in the proverbial behind this time. But the child...as independent as she is, refused the mere thought of asking someone else for the answer to her problems. It’s been an inbuilt system in her. To ask only for help IF it’s a life and death matter, in a partnership this spelt disaster... for a unit that was to share a responsibility her inability to give the other his role...would be their downfall... she knew it,
Deep inside trust and her never got along, it was the one word her mind refuses to acknowledge. After all... glancing at the star covered skies the black clouds looming over them like a watching eye. Stars sparkled in and out glowing faintly through the twilight. It’s all... too new to her...
Like a light seeping through the small window in her prison, the dark four corners that had long held her soul. Partnership...a rare notion presented through the mark on her thigh. She wondered... if it was really meant for her, or the other half that took her place that night. She might never know, never try to understand how fate deemed to do these things to her. Her musings were cut short by the ecstatic cry of her newly encountered partner. These pairings confused the hell out of her, clearly she could fight on her own but if fate deemed it necessary to saddle her with this boy. Might as well deal with it arguing about it with a goddess whom lets everything flow from the other ear didn’t sound too pleasing for the girl whom couldn’t find the urge to actually do it. Too troublesome...
Too...
Bothersome in her eyes, drifting her gaze to the boy her neck craned back to look at him as she felt the sudden grip from behind hugging on her form. His scent reached her senses, sweet, strong and yet...strange enough. Calming. No one has ever managed to get her to feel that other than for her twin but that was another story to tell. A strange... warming feeling flooded through her cheeks his warm breathe touching her skin from the nape of her neck. Warming the chilled the skin even if just slightly. He... felt warm, he felt nice to have around.
....
Wait...
She quickly held the proverbial heel on her thoughts refusing to let it go further than what it already is. A red hue colored her cheeks bringing in new color to the child’s snow white pallor. She didn’t know... couldn’t comprehend... how to act in a moment like this. “It’s.... Okay?” She forced out the reply, unsure about it as she looked back to the cold waters as if trying to regain her composure and control over herself. “You don’t need to apologize...” Sighed the child, her breathe fogging through the night air. “You didn’t do any harm at all...”
"So... maybe we should get going? It's pretty late now. The longer we linger here, the later we'll arrive."
TAGS: @ame || NOTES: He is shy lmao who wouldn't?! XDD Time to go, princess~ or would you wanna do what you plan? Like they got lost or ame twisted her ankle?
The boy fidgeted on his toes lightly. There she goes again with her kindness in talking. He knew well it was wrong to intrude one's privacy, especially a girl and someone he just met few minutes ago. Perhaps it was this whole bonding and unit things that made him so attached to her that he could not control himself from snuggling her. But then again, he was sort of that type of guy to begin with. If it was not because of Dante, he would have been hugging almost everyone. No, perhaps he would not dare to do such a thing because he was not very confident of himself. Something about Ame stirred his insecure part from hundred to none. He felt as if her presence gave him a new path in life- a path he wondered could be a great one too.
A sight of a figure began to show up beside him, standing parallel to the gap between the two. Little by little, the image solidified and it was Dante whose eyes were closed and one hand was resting on his hip. He peeked one of his pair of light green eyes open and looked lazily at Leon. "Can we go back now, Romeo boy? I'm not in the mood to have my ears covered with holes with Haine's yaps." He exclaimed, pretty much described the agony he displayed on the face. His eyes scrolled to another side where the girl was standing. Leon had been eyeing the way he was watching her. Dante was not the type to trust people easily, especially not someone who did not show such characteristics of who she was supposed to be. She was beautiful and gentle-spoken kind of girl. Her presence brought light, not intimidation like the female Fighter who was taking care of them. Still, Dante closing his eyes was a good relief sign for Leon.
It seemed he did not mind about this... or maybe he simply let it happened because this was fate's job he can't ignore.
Leon slowly moved his leg, one by one, marched backward as he said, "So... maybe we should get going? It's pretty late now. The longer we linger here, the later we'll arrive." He nodded to emphasize his word. A smile remained on his lips, decorated the heart-shaped face with little amount of radiance.
Through the nervous play he made as his toes twitched on the ground. The young silverette caught it all through her peripheral eye. She was watching him from the corner of her sharp gaze, waiting, calculating through his every movement and memorizing his behavioral patterns his traits and being. He was to be her partner he said...
The one piece that was to complete the unit she was destined by fate herself to be a part of. You cant really say no to that sadistic deity. While that wheel spun with those slender fingers keeping tabs on the wooden wheel as it moved... one can be certain someone’s fate is about to be decided someone was about to be the goddess’s numerous playtoys. Amaterasu should know, she was part of that select group of play things the goddess enjoys to watch over. A game between her and that being, the never ending play chess that neither of them seems to win. She looked up, ethereal lights radiating from the silent pale orb circling the heavens bounced from her amethyst colored eyes. Lightening the pale tone before she turned to look at the boy, his form reflected upon her orbs.
What can she say?
The nervous little child infront of her seemed to be shaken by her mere presence or, was it just insecurities? Amaterasu didn’t know where she was getting these ideas but that’s what she saw looking through him. Studying the way he acted, his body signals...
Her guardian noted her ability to read through a person... but it was her inability to understand them that truly hindered her. Except for this man... he was in a whole other league of his own. The very first that she could actually disassemble without pondering through hours of intellectual debates between her and her mind, he spoke again this time it caught the child’s attention as she pushed off the thoughts.
Oh yes... he mentioned about going somewhere, no harm in following the boy. A complete stranger into somewhere she didn’t know... it must be that bond thing that was making her trust his judgment. She shook her head slightly, out of boy’s reluctant pair of orbs. He was waiting for her reply. She merely nodded finding no real reason to speak she grasped onto the old wood. Pulling her petite frame off the old wooden floors of the gazebo, the girl proceeded to dust the imaginary dirt that clung to her skirt. His jacket still hung on her shoulders making an effective blanket against the chilling night air of spring.
“Alright...” The words breathed out from her lips as feathery and light as the passing winds that came before them. Her silver hair fluttered through the unseen breathe of air that played with it as she stepped forward soon she was beside him with her gaze turned to his attention. Well she was ready, she took another step before... quickly pausing as a sudden spell of dizziness swarm through her vision. She paused, her legs swayed a bit but the child managed to maintain her balance as a hand reached up for her head. Dammit... guess she stood far too quickly for her body’s liking.
You claimed everything was okay That's impossible Just know I'm here for you from night to sun Gotta be near to you the feel of you gives me a rush
His eyes clearly have been following her that the moment her body swayed in a strange manner, Leon immediately reached out his hands for her. Two hands extended front to catch her before anything came. A sigh of relief escaped from his mouth. It seemed like she was holding herself too. If she was to fall, then, God, he can't guarantee he could catch and support her himself. As low as his self-esteem, the copper red haired boy's sense of stability was at the same stake. He was like a light ball; he can be easily pushed here and there without applying too much force on him. Worried, the boy squatted little bit so he could see her face. He could not read her condition well, since she seemed to have born with as pale as a doll skin complexion. He may have overlooked the fact if she was sick. The pair of ears bent pointing behind as guilt began to take over him. Maybe he should have not asked her to come with him.
"If you didn't, then the girl will be in a lot more trouble, alone." Dante voiced in sudden. He flinched lightly over the other him presence. He has been watching her too, it seemed and he has an equal amount of concern for the girl as Leon. The body watched his face and was quietly indulged by his thoughts about him. His lighter narrowed eyes had remained static on Ame before they shifted their view on to Leon. A huff of annoyance heard escape from Dante's mouth. "What?" He clearly was worried about him and yet he maintained such a cold face. It made Leon chuckled and as the effect, his shoulders shook along. He found it funny and adorable about Dante trying to act as if she has nothing to do with him.
After seemed to be a minute of spacing out, Leon finally returned his foot of mind back on reality ground. His brows knitted. "Oh Ame, what's wrong? Are you okay?" She was holding her head was like a silent siren. A smile was calmly offered by the young boy as he offered, "Ride on my back, I'll carry you." It would be the first time he has ever carried anyone. It was not like he was weak to carry anyone. It was because no one wanted to let him carried them. It was almost like he was neglected and distrusted and little Leon, back then, did not mind about it at all. Sure he felt lonely but he was not entirely lonely. He has Dante and...
Well, apparently that other entity resided in him groaned at the scene he was quietly watching.
"Forget it Leon, you are NOT carrying her." He rejected the idea with stern voice. Leon was about to knee down with his back facing Ame and flinched at the voice. He looked up and stared over the balcony of the gazebo, as if he was looking at someone. Actually he was staring at Dante but it was an image only existed in his mind. Dante sighed heavily through his nose. "Let me carry her. We are going to send her back and go back to Nightshade. Got it?" He said. Leon wanted to suggest bringing her to Nightshade so Haine could send her but the older personality growled and flashed his eyes like a ragging tiger.
"No BUTs, Leon. Or I'll leave this girl here and forcefully make my way in and bring us back."
Gulp.
Well, that's that. Whine sadly, Leon had to retreat though he muttered something softly and in regret. "I'm sorry," he said with his eyes glancing little bit behind at Ame before looking down.
Wind blew chill and cold and yet his body remained still as if he has been petrified. Night breeze petted his reddish hair as if it was a bless and a good luck wish, for the boy was no longer there, but being replaced by another. His hair shook as the head was raised. "Hurry up, get on my back," He spoke, cooler and colder in tone. His pitch remained the same sweet boy Leon was, but the air that escaped was... different.
Come along just take my hand
@ame || THEME SONG || Yiiikes! Here comes Dante. XP Lol as expected.
Trouble she could only guess what kind of trouble she was going to be in if she DID catch something. The silverette would rather not admit but her health wasn’t as stable as most people were. Hers...is as delicate if not fragile as the snow falling on the ground in winter. Easily crushed under the heel of one’s feet... easily melted with the lightest of health. One wrong move and it could land her in the hospital. As the years went by her health never really improved much to her chagrin and irritation. Warm hands touched her shoulder, as the child shifted her gaze through. Peeking through her fingers to see the copper headed male leaning worryingly towards her.
Eyes focused on her form that made her...feel strangely not herself, seeing the worried expression creasing through the once happy façade he sported actually clenched at the frozen cold beating organ in her chest.
Something about it she didn’t like, seeing him look at her with those eyes brought something she rarely felt. Guilt, discomfort much worse than her spinning vision. She took a deep breathe. Forcing her body to stillness as she tried to calm down the rampant pounds of the incoming sledgehammer attempting to pry open her skull that was the beginning... her and the cold frosty night still were at odd terms with one another. It still hasn’t stopped the young silverette from escaping through the night just to relax in the presence of the still waters of the silent lake.
Opening her amethyst tinted orbs it turned towards the boy. “Yeah... I’m fine... just stood up too quickly.” She slowly stated, voice still hasn’t raised past the decimal of a whisper as she spoke. And probably never will as the child saw no reason to truly speak out when she could simply just write it down rather than waste the energy needed to open and close her mouth.
It didn’t sound like much of an effort... it was however an effort to the young silverette. Placing a hand on her knee she used it as a support to push herself up unsteadily on her two feet. The area swerved in her vision, spinning at a dizzying pace until it slowly stilled itself. Worrying him wasn’t one of her purpose... it was more her pride that refuses to let people know anything that ails her. Like what was happening now,
It took effort on her part to push her aching head away from her senses as the boy began. What truly caught her off guard was the sudden apology. She blinked, a puzzled look came through the façade she held. “For what?...” Asked the child, something told her she wasn’t going to get an answer, the sudden chillness the wind presented should have clued her in, but the child’s attention solely went to the boy There was...something different about him. She stiffened, a steel edge presented through his voice further threw her off track. Confusing humans...The child grumbled something in Italian when the boy gave her an order.
Common sense and refused to acknowledge the command. She barely knew him but... looking back at her choices she didn’t have much to choose from. An argument wasn’t something she wanted to deal with either not with her head feeling like it was going to crack open any minute. With a silent sigh the child looked away before hesitantly climbing on his back, whatever motivation she had to speak vanished. Looks like he was back to square one...
You claimed everything was okay That's impossible Just know I'm here for you from night to sun Gotta be near to you the feel of you gives me a rush
See if I care. That was what exclaimed in Dante's mind. Not only he has to deal with her as his partner, but also as his Fighter. Why can't his fighter be someone like the Vulpes? He had pictured someone who was dependable, strong and determined. Yet here he was, having to offer her his help on his knee. What is this? A romantic story of sort? Seriously, he has no interest in acting all lovey-dovey with her just because Leon said she was his other half. Okay, so Dante did admit he felt this unknown but strong sense of attraction to her, even though she was not in any of the leagues of female he would want to date. Still, he was not sure if it was right to give it all and commented Leon was an idiot and a child in this situation.
Two personalities in one body, yet neither of them questioned who was the original entity. While Dante being the wise and mature one, he has great amount of tolerance and care for his other self, Leon. They both wonder about the same thing, taste the same taste and dream about the same thing. Even so, many noticed the two acted differently in their own way, and Leon's aura was lighter than Dante's.
A sigh escaped from his mouth when the girl deliberately asked something he interpreted as an invitation of an excessively unnecessary fight and an act of being a spoiled brat. So, Dante has some issues dealing with this girl. His eyes knitted in annoyance, as he waited patiently for the girl to make up her mind. He was not in the mood to explain everything to her, believing that she was well-aware of her own situation.
When you are sick, act like a sick person. Don't cause problems to others.
Dante muttered in his mind and covered his face with his warm palm. The warmth soothed the cold surface of the flawless skin of his heart-shaped face, calming Dante a little but it was not enough. Now, the girl. He was about to ask if she would prefer him to leave her and let her stranded to walk all alone or ride on his back when she made a right decision and climbed on his back. Dante was not going to say a word about this, quietly let her positioned herself.
She's light.
Dante commented, glancing his green eyes from left to right and left again. He got up with a haw and a push from his bent leg and started walking. Two hands were placed underneath her bottom acting like a seat and to support her from falling. He even bent himself a little so she could hang on to him without sliding down.
Truthfully to say, despite they have been walking for few feet now, there was no word spoken by the boy. His copper red whooshed as wind blew across them. Two times were still good, but when the wind blew for the third time Dante could only shudder his shoulders like a young cub bristled his fur in winter. He stiffened his shoulders afterwards, not letting the girl noticed he could not tolerate cold. Cold was like a serpent slithering on his body and mind, making him recalled the times he was tricked into escorting for a local brothel. It was unbearable, the punishment he received during his last few weeks there. If it was not for Haine, he would...
"Shit..." He gritted his teeth. The place where a series of numbers like a serial code throbbed. Despite few years has passed, he still felt the numbness as if he was tattooed only yesterday. His pace had slowed down but he quickly sped it up. Hold on there.
"Hey, girl- no, Ame right?" he began to speak. He needed a distraction. His eyes squirted occasionally as he tried to stay conscious. Man, the cold was biting his skin he could see his hair stood on his arms. He huffed and continued, "Where are you from?"
Come along just take my hand
@ame || THEME SONG || Help Dante in his urge to fight the cold hahaha XDD
Her likes or dislikes, her attitude outside of the shell of an emotionless doll she portrayed. No one got that deep in her to know, no one got through the thick concrete wall separating her from the rest. The formidable walls she formed to protect herself now trapped her in her own land of darkness. Like the spell she utilizes... ironic that her spells show more of her character. The biting chill hardly bothered the child as it left its cold mark upon her porcelain visage. She hardly flinched as those touches were like tiny little icicles biting through her sensitive skin.
Why should she?
The ice had been her part of her, she hardly felt the need to regard its presence but the boy... whom a few seconds ago was a bubbling pot of energy now exhumed such coldness a kin to what she sees in a hardened soul. It takes... one to see one in cases like this...
It takes the same mask to notice another, but the child...
As silent as a doll she was, choose to keep that silence as she ventured through the pebble strewn path, twigs cracked under his feet further through the path with tall trees overhanging their presence the air dropped the tiny bit of warmth it had, diving down into a chilling presence. Stills he could hold out, it hardly bothered her at this point once her body registered its presence... it was more of that compounding sear blazing through the back of her skull from that headache. Payback given by her weak frame for forcing it through this hell.. which she began to fully block out.
Hell she was about to block his presence too... wait, for some reason that was a lot harder to do. Another note to investigate this...strange occurrence, none of her books about bonds pictured this... not one of the words written described the confusing sensations cursing through her body... It disturbed the child being this unprepared.
Though there wasn’t anything to prepare about as she had resigned herself to the fact she wont be able to find her partner this soon...oh how wrong she was. Her locks fluttered softly, strands slipping down her neck and onto the nightly breeze with every move the boy made.
She wanted to ask her guardians about this but she doubted they would have the answer she wanted to hear. Bonds... she winced placing a hand over her heart. Her lips curled into a frown, eyes that once stared ahead look down with a look that a kin to pushing back a bad apple she accidentally swallowed. Memories... you see, a bad one that managed to slip from the carefully bolted black door due to a trigger she has yet to notice. Her fault there,
She swore she wouldn’t think about that... but here she was mulling about, breaking her own silent vendetta. And then... a voice broke through her musings. She looked to the man carrying her light form. Eyebrow arched to silently say she didn’t expect the silent man to even talk until she noticed the small recurring shivers passing through the man’s frame. He asked where she was from, ethnicity or where she live? Can’t the boy be straight forward with his queries??
“Is that meant for ethnicity or where I live in this island? That question of yours has a lot of branches attach to it.” She spoke through the barely visible whisper it held. Blunt... as well, Amaterasu knew not of the meaning of sugar coating things when being right now to point served more purpose than that. That was it... his shivering was beginning to toy at her nerves. “Do you want your jacket back? It seems you need it more than I do...”
You claimed everything was okay That's impossible Just know I'm here for you from night to sun Gotta be near to you the feel of you gives me a rush
This wasn't helping at all. The girl's response pushed a wrong button inside him, but the weather was too cold for him to pick a fight with her. He has a battle to win at the moment, with his skin felt colder and his body heat was slowly slipping away. He did however mutter an unpleasant comment under his breathe, a haw in disbelief of how blunt this girl could be. He was trying to play nice but she just had to knock it off by giving out such an unrealistically comment of how that question of his has a lot of branches attach to it.
Are you freaking serious, girl? Man, he was an inch close from dropping her to the ground but it will not be something Leon would like to happen. He has his eyebrows knitted as he replied, "Then, can you just answer however you feel like to?" Honestly, what an ice queen. If he was to date a girl, her type will the least favorite of all. He can't handle a drama queen too; too much emotions and pathetic acts to handle. Not to mention, he would not date midgets. They are cute, but he hates the idea of bending down a bit just for a kiss. He continued speaking after letting out a sigh escaped from his pale mouth, "Your origin, your house here, anything. At least try and make me feel like I'm carrying a girl." If he was to continue speaking, he would probably state he felt like he was carrying a living doll. He was not sure why but he wanted to know about her, at least from what kind of family background, what sort of people around her and who has been looking after her.
He just wanted to know why she looked almost as if she was fine with everything and doesn't care about anything.
“Do you want your jacket back? It seems you need it more than I do...”
She diverted the conversation and asked him if he wanted his jacket. Dante's red-furred ears twitched over her voice and he turned slightly behind so he could see her from over his shoulder. His eyes stared at the flowerbed walled beside the path they were talking through. He did not answer, simply turned his face to his side and then looked front. So, she noticed huh? Sharp girl. Dante shook his head lightly and softly replied, "Nah, I'm fine. It's cold, but I got you behind me. You warm me just enough to keep us walking. So hang on."
Faint sparkling light appeared floating around them out of nowhere. His eyes focused on the light and noticed it was quite familiar. Oh, fireflies again. He huffed and ignored the small amount of them flying around them. Where there hell these creatures came from? They suddenly showed up after he had said how it was all right because she was with him. What? It was not like he was trying to cake her. He was stating the truth.
She didn’t know how to help, nor did she have an inkling on how to help this boy trying to put up a brave front when all it was doing was in all honestly fooling himself. Amaterasu was no idea, far from it. She spent many a days reading through one’s psyche to notice the subtle changes he underwent through. The cold shivers threatening to break the iron clad will he presented. It seems this is a battle the cold would definitely win.
A solo win against the boy, for the cold couldn’t harm her...mentally wise for she dabbled in its arts and learned how to dance through its bitter tantrums. Her eyebrow arched as she listened through the words spurred from his mouth. He has to be serious... an iconic line portrayed in nearly every blasted romance genre out there. Fireflies hearing the soft melodic tune rose up in a silent summon, fluttering around them like a protective veil. Curious...
The child reached up to try and grasp one of the passing insects as her hand touched it, it phased through her skin as it continued to fly around then. The spectacle left the child baffled. Now, she wasn’t a believer of spirits, or ghost without a scientific reasoning or facts it... just didn’t bode well with the logic sitting inside her mind. Not to mention, she has yet to give the boy her reply, talk about sass...
She wanted a straight forward answer and the boy... took it as an insult for some reason. Humans were truly indecisive creatures concluded the petite silverette. Arching a delicate eyebrow at the copper headed boy rays flooded from the shy moon touching her skin giving it a more ethereal unnatural feel as she tilted her head. How should she answer this... “Italian Japanese... born and raised in japan before my parents moved here.” As if reading from a well-rehearsed scripted her caretaker gave her years ago.
That’s what she was instructed to speak, deliberately hiding the tiny fact her parents are six feet under, rotted and probably skeletal in this time frame. “My home is at Elatha’s dwelling... the one at the end of the west subdivision... “She murmured, still refusing to raise her tone from the whispery quantity it had.
“You mean Like a carrying a living doll?” She deadpanned, voicing out the thoughts he had running in his mind. That was the logical thing he would think and would add to that unfinished sentenced he spoke. It’s been used to describe her... lethargic ways for so long that it hardly bothered her.
“...What about you though?” She sighed softly at her own question. Making conversations...was clearly not the child’s strong point nor did she truly bothered until now. But if the boy wanted a distraction. “Just a side note... I utilize ice and dark spells mostly.” And then she dropped the bomb, speaking of it as if it was the weather. He was bound to find out...and here’s a way to know that she wasn’t the one having to deal with the pain in this partnership.
He finally stopped and he hit the emergency brake as if a rock just dropped down in front of him. He knitted his eyebrows and slowly, and eerily, turned his head over his shoulder to see the girl on his back. His emerald eyes somewhat gave a cold are you for real stare at Ameterasu, she had stated something he was not happy to hear. He muttered, pressing the intensity of anger in his voice, "Ice and dark spells?" He was not that angry, he was merely agitated by it. Terror began to slip in against his will due to his carelessness in imagining the definitions of ice and dark. The best picture he has in his mind was not just an imagination. It was like a quick flashback- no, a series of quick flashbacks of the night in brothel. Muscles tensed and slowly, he sipped the remaining energy he was trying to grab a hold in him and said, "I need to take a break for a while." His voice expressed a great amount of loathe to the subject and suffer he was feeling right now. It was not pleasing, neither to his ears nor to his mind. Yet, he bear no ill or anger on the girl for spells came naturally with the fighter.
"Spells are made from the consciousness of a fighter. They are the representation of a partial of the fighter."
That was what Haine said and Dante chanted the words again and again in his mind. In order to embrace, as in to be able to work with, the fighter, he has to understand that the spells she used will be both his sword and shield against other units, even if the spells were based on elements he despised. Putting the girl down was the only option he has. If it was Leon, this might not be a necessary step for he was not the one experiencing the torment. Dante was physically drowned into a tank of icy and cold water and the punishment has left a permanent effect in his memory. How cold usually tenses muscles up and causes skin to wrinkle is exactly what he was feeling right now. He leaned against a tree nearby for support and huffed heavily. The air was cold, he was hoping his breathe was warm enough for his skin to feel. Reality seemed to have lost its boundary around him. He muttered with low voice, "Sorry. I'm just a bit shocked." He has a feeling she might make a face of wonder why he has to make a big deal of it, but he was hoping not. Explaining to her would not be an easy task.
"West area of the dwelling..." He murmured, trying to distract himself. His eyes looked aside and back at her, sullen and soulless. He noticed how he looked in her eyes and huffed heavily through his nose. "Don't stare at me like this is a weird thing. Even a guy has his own feeling of insecure and you just stabbed it with a dagger," He said with a slight irritation in his voice.
Then he stopped, stunned silence swamped through the area in a wave, drowning any sound from reaching their ears except for the silent chirps of the hiding crickets roaming around in the thick foliage around their path. Ame raised an eyebrow at his sudden action, confusion and maybe a tad hit of worry flowed within the porcelain features that it baffled her to a point she didn’t even know what to do...
Or to handle the sudden situation she’s been tossed in. Part of her, wished it was Maya in this position instead of her. Because at this time, when the tension was as thick if not as oppressive as this one. Ame would have within no doubt, walked away. Turn the other way around without looking back. A few factors held her back from doing the same thing... one would be her will refusing to acknowledge her brains internal command. Like something firmly glued her feet to stay by the man’s side.
The second factor would be... her current situation of feeling slightly under the weather. Whether it was from the weather, or from something else, Ame cant pinpoint what exactly caused this... knowing her, she’ll figure it out... She always does once she sets it as worth to be investigated. Right now... she wanted to know, for future reference. The silverette made note for it later now she has more pressing matters to attend to... Tilting her head to the side, she studied the boy’s features. As if a drowning sea of blackness enveloped his form, reality lost its connection to him. Disconnecting him as if an avatar being kicked from a game.
Ame couldn’t hold back the small frown her mask allowed her to show. This...is rather a weird time to feel worried for the boy who in her opinion started as a polite young man then faded into a rough spirited boy which a sharp tongue to both.
Though... wonder which one has the sharpest, “You would have found out sooner anyway, so why bother waiting till later.” Units were supposed to know strengths and weakness, elements and types the fighter uses must be known by the sacrifice for they are the brains and lead in a unit. It’s suicide in her opinion if the strategist doesn’t know which cards to play. “If I remember right...” She began once more after he placed her on the ground, his form leaned heavily upon a sturdy tree to support the strength he lacked in holding his body up. She sighed, under her breathe, summoning a reserve of strength she saved for occasions such as these the young girl pushed her body up, fighting against the strong gravity that wanted to push her back down. Her form swayed from side to side until she got a grip of her balance she lifted her head to face him.
“You’re duty would be the strategist and the main thinker, the role of the king piece in a game of chess.” Her gaze shifted from him to the tree he leaned on. “It would be suicide logic wise if I keep something of this sort from someone that supposed to be the main thinker.” Not that she couldn’t handle being the strategist... but this would be his role something that she’s fighting rather hard with herself to actually give him. She always did have a hard time in trusting people... but this time was different a sense that spoke within her clouding judgment that she could actually give her dwindling trust in humanity to.
They were learning to understand or to figure out why they were awkwardly cared for one another. He could tell she was hesitated, as much as he was. This situation brought the unnecessary concerns for him from her that she herself seemed doubted the reason behind it. Could it be because they were fated together? Dante was not the type who would easily submit to such childhood stories. He knew what his father and the vulpine kept babbled about; the true name.
Tied to someone by fate.
"You must be joking," his thought escaped in words through his mouth as his eyes were pretty much closed from Ame. So, he just have to deal with the fact she was his 'the one'? The older personality scoffed lightly at the idea of working with someone. His eyes revealed themselves slowly and with a tilt of his head, the red-haired boy scowled, "Hey, hey, take this easy will you? You are not expecting me to just say 'yes, mam' to whatever you are saying, are you?" He was annoyed by this, pretty much his thin brows furrowed to the middle.
"You are not cute." He remarked out of sudden, sighing. What the hell is wrong with her, being so stern about this? She completely brushed his fur at the wrong spot that it made him wanted to bite her hand off, but sadly he couldn't. He just could not let himself being drifted by anger for mankind like he always does on her. It was not Leon, if it was he would have known. It was from his own heart too.
He pushed himself away from the tree and, slowly, he cut the gap between him and his Fighter one pace at a time. Hands tugged into his pockets and his eyes remained to stay deep into hers. Yeah, they were cold but he doubted she was. Was she acting like one to secure herself from something? If that was the case, for some miracle senses in him, he wanted her to know she could trust him.
He meant not to hurt her, at all.
His voice heard gentle, as if he was comforting but not knowing who. "Stop thinking much about this. There are more things in life than about being a thinker and battling and stuff. That's why I said you are not cute 'cause girls aren't supposed to think much about this." He tilted his head, letting strands of red hair fell to the direction and grinned.
"I know what I need to do, so relax," he stated and turned away. Sure, he might in need of time to adjust the whole idea of becoming a Sacrifice and of working with her who control two elements that made him shuddered down to his knees. But it was not a good excuse to shove her away without giving her a chance to proof her capability. Dante knew that much; the need to prove others and to be accepted, for the hoest of the body himself seek for the same salvation. He had his back faced her before he turned his head for her and asked, "Let's try this again. Do you want to walk, or do you want me to carry you, Ame?"

[attr="class","l"]I've never seen such beauty in possibility
His logic truly sent her brain into a mess of jumbled up logic, slapping it into a stuttering halt with his words. For reasons unknown to her she couldn’t figure out how did boy was affecting her so much. She glanced at the mark hidden underneath her clothes before uttering a soundless sigh. All she did, was give brief detailed recap on the life of a battling pair just as her guardians pounded in her cranium ever since the day she uttered her first spell that was immediately labeled as banned from the household.
Her eyebrow rose by the slightest unnoticed through the bricked stone neutrality expressed upon her doll-like façade. This was way out of her league, she tried to deduce how cuteness would even be considered part of the subject till she finally gave it up. She had no real experience with these kinds of things it wasn’t that surprising some of the things he said utterly confused the young Ushiromiya heiress. She moved her lips to speak, soundless words that halted as she reluctantly decided against it. She didn’t know what to even say, her mind became a blank from trying to decode the words he spoke.
She must be some kind of idiot...she gave a wordless sigh, lavender orbs lifted from the side as it switched towards his form leaning against the tree. The words expressed on her face hidden by the blank mask was that of curiosity and the need to ask and satisfy the need to understand his meanings but Ame held it back. To her it served no true purpose, she had better things to occupy her brain rather than thinking of such trivial things. She closed her eyes momentarily to get a good bearing from the budding headache that was slowing down her through process, opening her orbs again they settled back towards the red headed boy.
Whom was also her sacrifice, bond... fate’s hand played her cards tonight and it was a hand she did not like. “No I don’t.” She spoke as she reached a hand to massage her temples. Footsteps reached her ears from the boy as he moved closer to her. She didn’t move, moving meant wasting precious energy she was sorely lacking right now. “I didn’t expect that at all... I guess I was just explaining...” She muttered hesitantly as she glanced away from his frame. The chilling air surrounding them cutting the noise of the wilderness encroaching upon them. She didn’t speak until she found the words she wished to use to the boy. There’s always this wall between her and people, an impenetrable wall blocking any attempts from either side but for the first time a cracked formed in it. She shifted her gaze back at him to meet the deeply penetrating gaze he held within those olive eyes. For the first time...she felt her guard slack from within.
She quickly flinched away, an action so unlike the uncaring child but she actually flinched from the gaze that was cracking at her defenses. A sense in her told her to trust him... but at the same time it felt so hard to listen to something her logical side actually debated against it but she found herself turning back to the side that wishes to do the illogical way. Hesitantly she turned her head towards him once more to see him mere inches from her. The child, could read it from his green shaded orbs. Trust...
The word that ceased to exist in her dictionary.
“I-I...” Uncertainly left its mark on her after hearing the words carefully spoken by the man try as she might want to struggle with this, she was, still human after all. “Sorry... I’m just not used to this...” She gave a soft tired sigh yet the faint edges of her lips creased in a hidden smile. She found the grin as a comfort. At the same time however it could be the headache talking. She was about to answer him when her legs finally caved as she quickly gripped on his arm to stand upright. There was no way.. she was going to be able to walk... “I...dont think I can walk....” She finally admitted. Unsure if she should have done that.
