Hello, everyone! after dealing with real life and the other nonsense of living, panny and i have decided to bring back war of change. give a round of applause. we’ve worked through all of the information and hopefully improved coherency and cohesion; however, tell us if we missed something. eventually, we’ll announce an event to celebrate the re-opening, so look out for information on that. -RAIDNE, THE HEAD ADMIN
From the moonless night, screams of terror and fear resound, spreading across the world and infecting the masses; however, those sleepless nights occurred years ago. A new era began with the fires of war, and with no end in sight, the residents of Selene Isle trudge through life, basking in the momentary peace. Despite their prayers for continued monotony and peace, a storm brews, stirred to life by the continued presence of Rapture and Wraith. And as we set our sights on the seemingly peace laden isle, we must ask: how shall this tale end?
As the years passed, the number of true pairs increased; however, they continued to live in the shadows, catering to the whims of the mundane. Seven Moons kept watch over them all, instructing them and assisting them, but for many, the attitudes and ideals of the organization were smoldering, suffocating. With Seven Moons and the mundanes, they could not grasp the freedom, the power dangling before their eyes. In the beginning, rebellion was a dream, a fantasy, a figment—developed by the repressed and carried forward due to the nature of humanity. No one expected the call to sound, and no one expected the call to be answered. However, it happened.
Michio was, in spite of his profession, actually just a little more respectable than people made him out to be. He was very attentive to his personal hygiene (though his house was almost always a mess) and he often smelt strongly of flowers with the help of his shampoo. It was one of his many tricks to seduce the men he eventually pressured into paying him. You look pretty, you smelled pretty, and you guaranteed their time with you would be beautiful. There was no way he could lose. Men were such slaves to their desires sometimes--especially when they were drunk. The moment they got some alcohol into their systems they were like putty in his hands. He'd only been working the streets for a year and he was already oh so good at it. Somehow he'd thought it'd be harder than this, and he was starting to get bored.
Which was why today he was going to pick a target that was more of a challenge. Him hanging around the Crescent Moon so often, he noticed the other people who walked in the crowds around him, and there was one cutie in particular that had caught his eye. Tall, green eyes, and brown hair, this man was like catnip to Michio. Who could resist a face with such an innocent expression? Some part of Michio wondered if he was simply looking for someone to taint, but he decided it was better not to question the deeper parts of his own darkened soul. It was too much trouble to figure why he was doing things rather than simply acting on his impulses for the fun of it. Besides, this was the perfect chance to see if he could make the stranger his, and he was pretty sure that the other man wouldn't disappoint him. Easy as drunk men were, they weren't all that fun to play with in bed, and while getting paid for sex was nice to Michio, getting paid for sex he enjoyed was better.
Michio approached the man with overflowing confidence. He knew he looked good, his jeans were right in all the right places, the neckline of his shirt dipped deliciously low to show off a pale neck, and he had a few silver chains hanging out the back pocket of his jeans with the purpose of making sure that when people's eyes caught their glint, they'd turn to look and probably end up checking him out. He walked up close to the other man, aiming to get into his personal space. "You look tense. Tough day at work?" he asked the other, as if they'd know each other for years and they were friends walking alongside each other. "How about we go to a bar and you buy me a drink while telling me all about it?" he smiled as cutely as he could, but there was a sly glint to his eye that couldn't be hidden. Oh, sure he hadn't wanted a drunk man tonight, but he wanted the other just a little tipsy. Otherwise he wouldn't be able to take advantage of the stranger, and that was even more annoying than predictable scenarios.
The boy had finished his work for the day, well night. But of course Faye felt too exhausted. His energy was fading the longer it took his body to even make it home. Like the brown haired boy could actually do anything. So for a moment he wondered what he'd find. As he just made sure to help with locking down, he slipped his self phone back into his pocket. The boy wondered what he was going to. For a moment he just kept on walking trying to slip through the crowds. He'd rather not get stopped on the way home. Sleep or getting spoiled sounded so good for the male. But he wondered just what he'd end up seeing? With a pause he thought he felt someone watching him. 'W-what? Why do I feel so awkward?' He just felt that his cheeks were turning red. How could he handle this, those eyes digging into back. It almost made Faye feel as if he was being pushed on. "It's nothing dude...just keep walking okay. Go home, you have homework to do. "He kept mumbling to himself, those long fingers tugging at his shirt, the strings that were there were irritating him. He was being so OCD about this it seemed.
It wasn't like he had a stalker even if he was probably taller than most of the crowd here. Go figure he just wasn't going to win apparently. So what was he supposed to say. He tried to keep walking but the sudden voice caught him off guard. What could he even do? The fact that some red head just pushed his way in the personal space he wanted to keep. What the heck was going on? Faye could feel shivers going up and down his spine as he stood there. What the heck? What the hell? He could only realize he was flailing in his head right now. Like a small chibi trying to get people's attention. "W-what?! I mean sorta...too many people today." How could he have been so stupid? His face was bright red now, he felt so uncomfortable. Not that this was supposed to be a bad thing. All he knew was that he felt uncomfortable because of his awkward reaction. Why the hell did he do that? It was already so strange to him. Being stuck in this sort of situation probably never made things go very well. Couldn't be that surprising, Faye had never been able to handle these situations very well. Maybe if he just made some small idle chit chat this guy would go away.
'P-please I don't have anything good for you! I swear I'm just a weirdo that needs to get back to work, well going home.' He almost had to wonder what he'd get into, he should have just run away. But no, he was here in this awkward situation. With some guy almost rubbed up against him. Just what the heck? It confused him a lot more then he liked. Faye only tried to smile, tried to relax and pretend nothing bad was happening. He paused then tilted his head and could only give a small flustered nod. "U-uh sure, I mean if you want. Lead the way, you probably know this more then me." Faye felt that he shouldn't agree. What was he going to do? It felt a bit confusing apparently. At this point he'd rather just let it go the way it did. Too late to back out now when he already agreed to all of this stuff apparently.
That sly glint in the other guy's eyes was a bit scary. And he'd rather not see it. This was suddenly becoming a bad idea yet he wouldn't get the chance to even back out of this it seemed. He had studying to do was drinking now even a good idea?
Michio could see the other man's obvious nervousness, and he couldn't deny that he found it somewhate surprising. He'd have thought a guy with looks like that would be accustomed to having people hit on him, but the brunette was so obviously nervous. It was actually really cute to see all the gears turn in the other's head, and Michio wondered if he shouldn't have been checking him out so obviously. It was pretty clear that the taller male was uncomfortable with it, but then a little discomfort might be a good thing. It meant that the other male probably didn't know what to make of him, and Michio liked having that advantage. The element of surprise would keep things interesting, it also meant that the other man might stick around out of curiosity.
As the other man seemed to be concerned about how many people would be out tonight, Michio laughed, waving a hand in the air dismissively. "Fine, I know a place by here where they sell some pretty good beer. We'll get some and then go hang somewhere just the two of us." How can a man tall enough to be easily visible in a crowd get nervous in one? He'd have a birds eye-view the entire time so getting lost was unlikely, and he wasn't someone tiny who could get pushed around, either, unlike Michio with his measly five feet and four inches. It didn't help that the other man was blushing hotly, too. It was almost too adorable for Michio to take. He wasn't sure if he wanted to seduce or bully him anymore, torn between taking him for all his worth or seeing just what this stranger was really like. There was something irresistible about him that he simply couldn't shake off, and he liked it.
Michio perked up when the other man gave in and told him to lead the way, all too overjoyed to have gotten the man to agree to at least that much. Step one, getting the other walk along with him, was completed. Now the next step was to get to know him a bit on the way there. "We're gonna have a blast, luv," he purred, confidently. He reached out to grab the other's hand, pulling the taller man along as he began to walk to the place he had in mind. It was a pretty liquor store. It didn't sell the really cheap stuff, but it had some pretty good picks that weren't too much on the pricey side.
As he lead the way, he turned to speak to the other man, introducing himself. "I'm Michio, by the way." he said, grinning. "What d'you go by, hottie?" yes, his flirting was a bit in-your-face, but he wasn't looking to hide his attraction to the other male. That wasn't his style. He did his best to make his intentions and what he did for a living quite clear. Misunderstandings in his line of work could lead to some rather bothersome wasting of time. He wasn't one to hand out freebies very often, after all, he had to make a living. Though, if he were being honest, he wouldn't mind maybe tossing one to this stranger. After all, he was hot, hot, hot.
They reached the entrance of the place he had in mind, and he opened the door, holding it to one side and flashing his most charming smile at the brunette. "After you, luv." he said, gesturing into the store with a nod of his head.
He couldn't help it, the cafe worker wanted to flee. Just turn on his heel and run away like a scared little kid. But of course Faye's guilt had already got him stuck right now. Faye shook his head out of his thoughts trying to see what this place was like. The way this thing was. Either way Faye had managed to get himself into a friendly date with a stranger. A red head that might be slightly attractive, but nope he was supposed to be straight. This guy probably just was using this as another way to get free drinks. Who knew. He couldn't help it, his face was heating up again. The idea of drinking with someone else it confused him a lot. But he almost liked the idea? Just one night of forgetting about work, school, friends and life to get drunk. Or buzzed. Whichever. Faye had never entirely been a party boy though.
So maybe this was just strange to wrap his head around. He didn't think some stranger would suddenly walk up to him and say that. So strange. But Faye only smiled with a low laugh, his hand over his mouth just slightly. He would be alright, at least for now. This did not seem to be so bad, though Faye suddenly felt the need to disinfect himself. Like spray something all over himself, or put hand sanitizer in his pocket. That sounded like a good idea. Too bad he did not actually end up have any. The element of all of this was all so awkward for him, and he wondered what to say. Faye didn't mind someone attaching to him though. Something like this actually made him feel wanted.
"U-uh okay! I mean that sounds like a plan." He blushed and almost wanted to squirm. But he couldn't. No he needed to keep himself from doing that, it'd probably not help. What he was nervous about might be the fact of people seeing them together. Not that it was so bad, just people liked to make opinions. Of course if those opinions were true he'd just ignore them. But Faye didn't want to make life worse for Michio. Even if this guy had gone out of his way to approach him basically. He wanted to just let all of his emotions out. All of them were good though, it just made the taller male really squirmy.
"Yea! I bet we are, I mean...this is supposed to be fun." He almost squeaked, why was he rambling again? Why did he feel as if this was so awkward. At least for right now anyway, it made him feel a tad bit weird and strange. His green eyes went wide feeling the hand around his, the way he held it? It seemed natural so he didn't complain he only tried to shake the blush away. A stranger made his face this red and it wasn't a girl? Go figure. Apparently guys were good at getting under Faye's skin as well. He was so not used to being called hottie or anything so that made him jump and want to squirm again. Why was Michio saying these things, really what meaning did it have.
"E-eh?! It's Faye!" He exclaimed, this was not so bad, but what was he going to do? Right. After all of this he needed to figure out was a bit strange. But he'd learn to manage to deal with it. Since this was basically all he could do. Faye felt as if he might be in a bit of an awkward situation. He blinked and just walked into the store, but he made sure to put his hand out to hold the door so his new companion could walk in. After all he couldn't let him get stuck out there by himself it was rude.
While it couldn't be said Michio didn't sometimes enjoy his current job, he could honestly say he missed meeting people for more innocent reasons, like making friends or actually having a special connection. It'd been a long time, far too long since he'd last held a person's hand like this, just walking along together. Though, if he were being honest, this was more like pulling Faye along rather than walking hand-in-hand, skipping along like young lovers....
Young lovers? Perhaps he was getting a bit ahead of himself. Somehow Michio couldn't help it, Faye appearing to be the same age as himself, if not around the same. He didn't exactly have a lot of experience with people his own age. The time he'd spent at school certainly wasn't to make friends, and people had been less than accepting of him and his far-too-open sexuality. The fact that Faye seemed to be going along with it--even if the teenager didn't seem to fully understand just what Michio was leading him to-- was something new to Michio. He was even making the cute brunett blush. It was more fun than he'd had in ages.
Genuinely excited, he danced into the shop, brushing against Faye as he walked past him like an affectionate kitten. "See anything you like, cutie?" he purred. "Aside from me, I mean." he added, teasingly, giving the other a light bump with his hip before pattering over to one of the shelves and inspecting the different brands of six-packs. Six packs.... Michio's eyes stole a glance at the other male. He wouldn't be surprised if Faye had a six pack--and not the beer kind. With those arms, Michio wouldn't be surprised if the rest of his body were as well shaped. The redhead's smile widened.
"Be a sweetheart and help me carry these two, would you, Faye?" he asked, trying to sound as cute as possible. Sure, he didn't need help carrying them, but men liked to feel as though they were helping, right? It made them feel good to put their strength to use, especially when it was for someone small and pretty, and Michio certainly wanted Faye in the best of moods. After all, chances were the other man was straight, so he if could put the subtle hint that he was somehow feminine and cute and like a girl in Faye's mind, he might have better chances.
Gesturing to the counter, Michio patted the back pocket of his tight jeans, feeling for a wallet which he then confirmed was there. "Wanna go halfies or is your offer to treat me still up?" he asked, as if Faye had ever made an offer to pay the bill. Still, it was only polite to at least pretend he had some small intention of paying even a little. Of course, if Faye were to say they ought to split the bill, Michio would pretend the wallet was nowhere on his person and then exclaim how unfortunate it was that he'd forgotten it.
This whole situation had confused him, he barely knew where to go with it. Since that probably wouldn't have helped any of them, or well both of them. For now it might not help but Faye was also confused. He did not understand, this person just seemed way too confusing to him now that he was thinking about it. Just what could he end up saying? Would it help? Or just make him feel ten times more flustered even if the boy did not get any idea why he felt so flustered to begin with. The feeling of this person pulling him away, or trying to tug him along just made him feel weird. He had always been so nice it wasn't like he'd refuse to help someone. Faye had that overly sweet nature that no doubt some people used while others wanted it to go away instead. They had just met, it wasn't like anything could happen between them. Or they'd end up being anything. Right? That was all he thought right now. However those thoughts were best left to himself. Not to or from anyone else at this point.
Not like he did anything with anyone. Right? This was already strange enough for him. He had a feeling he might have walked into a hole, but no it'd be alright. He was sure enough about that. With a small laugh the boy only wondered what he could do, and how this would go for him. Just what was he supposed to say? How was he supposed to somehow make sense of it. In general right now this might not end very well. But not like Faye had anyone to tell him no or tell him different. It would not end up helping or somehow making any progress either. That was just all he could think of right now. Faye wanted to keep on moving if that was all he could do. Keep his new friend entertained even though he almost had no clue what they were going to do. Seriously he had to be the oblivious one, the one who barely knew what to do with all this stuff. Relationships and otherwise had never been his strong point. They probably never would be even now.
Michio had come up to him. Did that mean he wanted something, or he had more experience. Probably but Faye was not any wiser to that. Right now it only seemed to be something lost to him almost completely. Go figure it might not be his smartest idea to wander with some stranger. That could get him into a lot of trouble. More then it was actually worth. Faye actually didn't even know what his sexuality was, it just happened to be there, and made him question that sort of thing. But what was he going to do. He couldn't exactly say oh I don't know if I'm gay. That'd just make him feel really awkward bringing up what was going through his mind. His mother and father wouldn't mind that entirely but they might not be accepting simply put. But of course he'd figure it out somehow, at least for once anyway. Right now he was just questioning if Michio only wanted to be around him because he had found a way to make money. Or he had money to buy things as simple as beer. He would change his mind when he already agreed to to this stuff. "H-huh? W-what? I dunno, I mean just whatever it'll be good either way." he didn't entirely go home to just drink beer. So what was he supposed to do. At this point it might not end up helping him really. Not at all for that matter, more or less.
He only gave a small nod, he would let Michio do this. Maybe this time. But what good would it really do, he almost felt a bit uncertain and lost. Like this was not going to end up so well for him. With a small sigh he'd rather attempt to calm down. But it wasn't likely to even work out that well. Not right now anyway. He just took them from Michio and held them tight so he didn't drop any of them. This was already quite weird for him. He barely knew what to do about any of this, but like it'd end up changing matters either. At least not at this point right? What was he supposed to say. What could he truly end up doing. At the very least this was one of those moments he needed to think over it differently. "I mean I'll treat you still...I already said I would. It'd be really bad if I didn't." He blushed as he said that, this all made him feel really weird and confused at that.
What was he going to do right now. He didn't know what to say and yet he also felt very confused. Like this whole situation was so strange to him. But he was attempting to figure it out with his new friend.
