Hello, everyone! after dealing with real life and the other nonsense of living, panny and i have decided to bring back war of change. give a round of applause. we’ve worked through all of the information and hopefully improved coherency and cohesion; however, tell us if we missed something. eventually, we’ll announce an event to celebrate the re-opening, so look out for information on that. -RAIDNE, THE HEAD ADMIN
From the moonless night, screams of terror and fear resound, spreading across the world and infecting the masses; however, those sleepless nights occurred years ago. A new era began with the fires of war, and with no end in sight, the residents of Selene Isle trudge through life, basking in the momentary peace. Despite their prayers for continued monotony and peace, a storm brews, stirred to life by the continued presence of Rapture and Wraith. And as we set our sights on the seemingly peace laden isle, we must ask: how shall this tale end?
As the years passed, the number of true pairs increased; however, they continued to live in the shadows, catering to the whims of the mundane. Seven Moons kept watch over them all, instructing them and assisting them, but for many, the attitudes and ideals of the organization were smoldering, suffocating. With Seven Moons and the mundanes, they could not grasp the freedom, the power dangling before their eyes. In the beginning, rebellion was a dream, a fantasy, a figment—developed by the repressed and carried forward due to the nature of humanity. No one expected the call to sound, and no one expected the call to be answered. However, it happened.
"Haine, I'm going to the drinks corner now," The red-haired boy shouted and started skidding excitedly. The older woman was about to scream at him to stop but a hand was gestured in front of her as a sign not to. Her eyes traced along the body part back to the face of an older woman. Min-Yung smiled calmly and shook her head. "Let him, that child is fine on his own," she said and started walking. Hae-Sun knitted her eyebrows frustratingly and followed her mother. Was she not the one who asked her to keep a close eye on the child? Now, she was making her to let him leave out of the sight? She swung the basket in hand slightly, causing the canned food hit one another. Clang sounds hit the thin air in the supermarket.
"Omma, you said to watch over him. That's exactly what I am doing," she protested. The Rapture's founder's wife laughed lightly as if she found what she had said was rather amusing. The long-haired woman turned her head over her shoulder so she could peek her eyes on her all-grown daughter and said, "You sound like a mommy lioness. He'll be fine," she said, turning her head back front. "There are lots of people in this mall, he will be all right."
Right. Hae-Sun was not all right with this at all. Her head began to tilt side to side and her wrist flinched bit by bit in discomfort. She was not sure if it was all right to simply leave the boy on his own. She learnt that if she was to let him wandered alone again, he will end up attracting problems. Not to mention he was being eyed by the man who tattooed him. Whoever he was, the female was not okay with it. Perhaps Min-Yung was right, she was becoming the mother of that baby lion. She has cared way too much of Leon, despite he was only eight years younger than her and not so right to call him her 'child'.
She backpedaled from her mother who suddenly came across few of her friends and took a detour. Her eyes wildly scanned around for the distinguished feature of the boy- the red hair color- and on her way to turn for the next shelf of goods, her body was not prepared for a halt and collided with someone. Grunt heard escaped from her mouth as she fell back on her backside and the basket fell onto the ground with loud crash from the cans and other foodstuff. She moaned and rubbed her back. "Aish! Apayo!!" she cried under her breathe, shutting her eyes tightly in enduring the pain.
OPEN and NAYRU CALIBUR OOC: For the Founder's daughter and others who wanna join<3
The supermarket was more crowded than usual today. Nayru was not used to this, despite having come here everyday for daily supplies to provide dinner for herself. Her ocean blue eyes scanned the shelves for anything she needed, and casually placed those items into the basket she had with her. It had become a daily routine for Nayru to appear at the supermarket, wearing a hooded sweatshirt to cover her ever present ears, fearing that she might be ridiculed or looked down upon by others. She sighed softly as she looked around, wishing that her brother was still around. Oh, how she missed the kind and gentle Alexander, ever eager to protect his family and country.
Suddenly hearing what sounded like cursing, she looked ahead to see a young woman fall to the ground and her items scatter on the floor. Without a second thought, she dropped her basket and rushed over to the female, not realizing that her hood flew off her head to reveal her cat-like ears. "Are you alright?! Are you hurt?" She cried out in worry, helping the woman stand on her feet then began to help in picking up her belongings. She turned to the man the woman had crashed into, seeing how he just stood there staring at her with wide eyes.
That was when she realized her ears were exposed. A small cry left her lips, pulling her hood over her head once more and finished helping the woman with her belongings before grabbing her own basket. How humiliating, she thought. She had been careful to not expose her ears or tail. Now she felt embarrassed and ashamed...

It was a humiliating fall, but then again nobody here knew who she was, so it did not bother her as much as to get on her feet immediately and threaten the man for bumping into her. It was her fault too, for she was not being careful and not slowing down while making a turn. She has good reflex, to be honest, but not in a place like this where there were too many people and noises. Well, she could easily dodge things if she wanted to, but that would be a total show-off. For mornings and evenings like this, she preferred to be a simple, care-free teenager.
Her hand remained on her backside, rubbing it in hope the pain will vanish. "I uh.. sorry," the man exclaimed and reached out his hands for her, but the woman flicked her eyelids opened at him and glared angrily. Being touched by some random guy was not something could accept easily. Nobody was allowed to touch even if the reason was to help her up to compensate for colliding and made her fell off her feet.
"Are you alright?! Are you hurt?"
Her attention averted to a sweeter and worried voice. Her head tilted a bit to the side as she watched the speaker standing close to her. She was ready to fidget away from her because the whole 'no touching me randomly' rule still applied, even if she was a cute and harmless-looking young lady. "Well..." she got on her feet with as minimum physical contact as possible and brushed her clothes. She continued to finish her sentence, "Not really, just my back but it'll live..." her eyes stabbed a glare right on the man, who was smirking while watching the ladies. "Someone might not be alright, though," she spoke with a threatening voice. She watched the female helped picking up her things and it made her sighed. Seriously, she was a Regalia for God's sake. How could she let a civilian help her in her own mess? She huffed, "Don't trouble yourself." Well, this definitely hurt her pride. Still, she should not be ungrateful for the kindness displayed by the woman. With a gentle smile she reached out for her basket and said, "Thank you." Oh well, so much for being an independent one. Her eyes carefully watched her physique and noticed something that screamed innocence. She covered her mouth a bit and coughed lightly.
Oh boy.
Hae-sun remained static in the body gesture with her eyes staring another way when she cried in embarrassment. Her attention returned to the young lady, who quickly pulled her hood over her head and hid the adorable ears of a maiden. She snickered lightly. The raven-haired took few steps in front of the female and tilted her head to the man. Her pupils thinned a bit as she said, "What? haven't seen adults with ears before? Scram." Her voice was cold and malicious that made the man turned himself and started walking the other way. A huff escaped. "Seriously, people should stop being so judgmental," she said and turned herself for the light-haired lady. A smile, along with faint chuckles, was offered so neutrally. "There's no need to feel awkward about it, there are some others- perhaps older than you- that still have their ears on their head." A finger was tapped along on her own head where a beret was located while stating the sentence. She chuckled more.
The silver haired female turned to the older woman with soft eyes as she spoke, cracking a gentle smile and a giggle left her glossy lips. Nayru felt comfortable around this woman, despite having just met her. She felt a strong sense of honor from her, and it made her relax. "I guess you're right. I suppose I'm very self-conscious." She admitted, her smile growing. She then extended a hand towards the woman, a friendly gesture.
"I'm Nayru, by the way. Nayru Calibur. It's a pleasure to meet you." She introduced, eyes gentle as she shook the woman's hand.
She looked around for a brief moment, then let go of her hand and lifted her basket off the floor before turning to the woman. "I'm really glad you're not seriously hurt. You really had me worried." She spoke tenderly, then decided to walk with her. "I apologize if I suddenly sound too personal, my brother would come here with me all the time, because I refused to leave his side." She giggled, grabbing a few canned goods here and there, placing them into her basket. She wanted to make conversation with her, even if it was for a short while. However, there was something about this woman that felt all too familiar. She couldn't place it, but she believed she knew her somehow...
Such situation was not strange for Hae-Sun, for she was born as bright the sun the morning she came into this world from Min-Yung's womb. Many dark events had taken place in her life and have continued to leave scars in her heart. Because of the pain, she sulked herself in a deep abyss of sorrow and was reluctant to laugh and smile like any other woman of her age. She reserved herself as one who took things way to seriously...
except to few she could not remember, in the past.
Her ears flickered attracted to the light and joyful giggles of the young lady. It made the fox chuckled as well, a part of an involuntary reflex. When it comes to interacting with people, Hae-Sun was one who would observe and try to figure out what kind of approach would work. From her point of view, she could see this light-haired beauty was a very happy go lucky since the way she easily got warm with her even though they were stranger to one another.... were they?
"I'm Nayru, by the way. Nayru Calibur. It's a pleasure to meet you."
The introduction caught her a little off guard there. The Vulpes blinked her eyes few times and then gasped lightly. "Oh, sorry," she abruptly moved her hand for hers as she bid a light apology for not paying attention to the hand shake. Honestly, Calibur? That sounded rather too familiar. It made the woman hummed lightly. "Please to meet you, Nayru." Skin exchanged warmth for few seconds before the hands retreated back to their original positions. The jet black haired woman turned her body on her heel and started walking with her. Actually, she has no idea why she was still around this lady. Something about her made she willingly followed her as she continued her grocery shopping. Ah, well. Hae-Sun reached out for an item on the shelf and simply examined it. Her eyes raised up and away from the item to Nayru. She gave her a silent stare and then a one-sided grin appeared. "You sound pretty close to him," she exclaimed, placing the food back to its place. Her eyes scrolled around and then back at her. Her head hung up a bit almost in wonder. "Where is your brother anyway?" she asked.
She swore the name sounded way too familiar. She tilted her head side to side and then gasped, "Hold on!" She turned to Nayru full body and pointed to her out of the blue. "Don't tell me you are THE Calibur's daughter? Are your parents Serena and James?" She asked, sounding rather impatiently excited. before the lady could answer her, Hae-Sun placed her hand on her chest to address the topic to herself. "I'm Hae-Sun; my father is Jung-Ho and we used to play together," she revealed her name and a little bit of the past, in hope, perhaps, she was someone she knew from the past.
The Calibur; it was a tragic loss indeed.
NAYRU CALIBUR OOC: She's just so fragile and happy! QAQ makes Haine wanna look after her 4ever!
Nayru giggled softly at the female's words, nodding slowly. "Yes.. We were very close." She answered, then looked down at her feet at her question about her brother's whereabouts. Before she had the chance to answer, she stopped in her tracks at the mention of her parents. She grew wide eyed, biting her lip nervously.
"Um, y-yes... How do you know their names?" She asked, only for the woman to mention her name and the fact that they knew each other as children. Wait... Could it be...? A bright grin formed against her lips, suddenly wrapping her arms around the girl in a tight hug.
"Haine-sama!" She cried out happily, calling Hae-Sun by a nickname she used to address her as a child then pulled away from the embrace to look up at the older woman.
"It feels like ages since I've last seen you! How have you been?" She beamed a bright smile, relieved to see her old friend again.
Sparks of joy lightened the conversation. Voices of two women chuckling in remembrance of some great old times together attracted many customers in the mall. The great amount of sincere filled with happiness over the reunion made those who were nearby curious of their conversation. They watched the girls from a distance they thought they were not noticeable but the vulpine was all aware of their presence and way of looking at her and Nayru. She took few paces, adjusted her standing position beside her and tried to ignore the discomfort of being observed. She kept a sweet smile and cease to control the sudden burst of eagerness in her heart.
"It is!" she began to speak. How long has it been since their last meet? She remembered Nayru as a sweet little girl. Her hair flowed over her shoulders in a mesmerizing way and when Jung-Ho introduced Hae-Sun to her, she was stunned by the beauty that made an angel shy of her presence. Nayru's parents were one of the respected people in Rapture- the founders, to be exact. They were very caring and were the reason Rapture was nurtured with great sense of family-hood. Jung-Ho honored their idea and continued to live up the aspiration even after they died.
The female's eyes closed half-way, a sudden amount of sadness gripped her as she remembered this child has lost great parents. She looked at her and tried to offer a smile that could hide the pain and sorry she felt for her. "I've been busy," she answered. Her head tilted away from her and with a hum she continued, "You can say it's a hectic season now. Not to mention father and others have been recruited more kiddos into the group..." she stopped. Her eyes watched the young girl's facial expression, trying to figure out if it was safe to continue this conversation. To be honest, Hae-Sun's life evolved around Rapture so much she barely had time to talk about boys and fashion. Wait, she does but it was not always. She was not an open-minded woman to speak of things related to her personal taste and experience.
Things related to Eira and Rika.
"Oh, yeah..." she knitted her eyebrows a bit. Now that she has recognized Nayru, she remembered exactly her brother. Hae-Sun was not as close to the brother as compared to the sister. It was because Hae-Sun was directly introduced to her as someone who the Calibur hoped to be able to accompany their daughter in good and bad times, and she was honored to accept the offer of friendship. So, now she wondered about her brother. "What happened to your brother, Nay?" she asked. "Though it is fine if you wish not to speak about it," a smile was offered in hope it could light up her mood. The vulpine felt it was a questions she needed to ask, even though it might bruise the young woman's heart.
Calibur has, after all, asked her to watch over their children.
NAYRU CALIBUR OOC: DISTRACTION! I HOPE IT IS STILL GOOD QAQ
The silver haired female smiled brightly as her friend began to speak. She knew very well that Hae-Sun was part of Rapture, and it didn't bother the female one bit. She looked genuinely interested in her friend's latest ventures, knowing that they had a lot of catching up to do. "Sounds like you have a lot on your hands." She giggled.
Her smile soon faded at the question of her brother, glancing down at her feet. It was a touchy subject for her, but she had to stay strong not only for Hae-Sun, but herself as well. She smiled tenderly at the woman, shaking her head slowly. "No, it's all right," she began, biting her lip for a brief moment.
"You know that Alex was training to become a soldier, yes? Well... A few years after our parents died, he left overseas to join the army. But then..." She paused, looking down once more. "Two weeks after he left, he was reported missing. I don't know if he's alive or dead..."
It hurt the poor girl to mention the loss of the only family she had, and it made her chest ache. However, she put on her bravest face and continued to move forward.
TAGS:Hae-Sun 'Haine' Mirae ETC:Give Me Love - Ed Sheeran OOC: That's okay! :3 You did good!
The woman's remark made Hae-Sun smirked sheepishly. She had her head turned away a bit and whispered, "You have nooo idea, Nay." There were twelve Regalia- six were Sacrifices and another six were Fighters. At first it was all fun and interesting, but as more members joined in and took part in the organization of the group, the Vulpes thought this was it. It was not that she hated the idea of being around other Rapture members. She enjoyed it, truly, from the bottom of her heart for Rapture members were her brothers and sisters. However, she was not fond of being in crowd, regardless who were in the circle. She even decided that if Rapture was to march out, she would march alone. Some said it was a conflict of interest that was going on in her. Being watched by the authorities because she was a skillful blank annoyed her. She preferred to act on her own, or with the aid of the first ten seats of of Regalia including herself.
Well, enough about her. She shrugged lightly and concluded the topic in the conversation. "Rapture remains Rapture, no matter what. So I'm used to the work and all," she said simply taking whatever tantrums threw right at her face. If she did not take the responsibility, who would? Her silver eyes browsed around for a recognizable figure; an auburn-haired young boy or an older woman scarf tied around her neck. She reached her hand out and grabbed some of interesting food on the shelf of the rack as they passed by.
Perhaps the sisterhood they have remained pretty strong that she could sense a sudden change of atmosphere around them, particular around Nayru. Sparks of joy they had awhile ago slowly extinguished. It made the raven-haired woman stopped and looked at her companion. Her eyes lyrically watched the facade she created to protect herself from breaking in front of her. Hae-Sun was not aware how close they were- the children of Calibur- for she has lost her one and only sister for a decade. Though years have passed, it felt as if it was only yesterday they were chattering about how great it was to be able to leave for Selene Isle. Destiny decided to make her (Hae-Sun) a blank child, and perhaps Rika was too. In the end, the older sister decided to abandon her, without telling a proper reason of her offensive action.
Hae-Sun closed her eyes. "The ones we love will continue to live on," she huffed quietly. One hand reached up for her own chest with a gentle smile on her lips. She continued, "they leave a part of themselves in us, so we will become their living proof." Truthfully, such words were meant for herself too. Rika, whenever she is right now, will continue to live in her. It may hurt her, but pain is a proof that she is still alive and not just some kind of living corpse like she had been once before. She walked closer to Nayru and shoved her shoulder to hers, trying to send a message she will be here for her. "It's nice to know you are still here though. At least now I can have someone to go shopping with rather than with my mother," she said with a pouting lips and laughed lightly.
It was then, while Hae-Sun spoke words of comfort, that Nayru felt a strong sense of relief. She had thought she was alone in the world for the longest time. Now, she knew better than to believe that. She had Hae-Sun, she always had her as a wonderful friend and sister figure. A smile creased her glossy lips as the older woman pressed her shoulder against her own, receiving her message loud and clear. The silver haired female rested her forehead against Hae-Sun's shoulder, tears forming in her ocean blue eyes.
"Thank you, Haine-sama... I'm really glad you're here." She spoke, lifting her head to wipe away her tears with her sweatshirt sleeve. Grinning brightly now, she walked beside her friend as the atmosphere changed into a joyful one.
It was then that Nayru spotted a red haired boy, tilting her head to the side. "What's a child doing wandering around all by himself?" She spoke, turning to her friend.
Calibur has strong children indeed. It was exactly what Hae-Sun thought as she watched the young lady wiped her pure and innocent tears away. That innocent and defenseless self was what made Hae-Sun agreed to watch over her until she was convinced Nayru could stand on her own. Unlike her who was born as solid blank, she existed in a world where she will need a partner to be strong. Whoever her partner was, the vulpine prayed she or he will be nothing lesser than her in terms of strength and emotion stability. The female gently pluck the loose strands of hair away from her face frame to the back of her ear. Silver eyes closed half-way as she watched her pulling herself together again.
With a small shake of her head, the raven-haired woman chuckled. "No, I'm glad you are here," she said softly. Something sparked in her from this conversation. She realized that no matter what happened, no matter how hurt she felt when Rika left her, she remained in her- remained as part of the reason she became this strong. She was reminded the purpose for her living as Regalia and as a blank and so she nodded determinedly.
"What's a child doing wandering around all by himself?"
Hae-Sun stopped momentarily as she watched Nayru with one brow raised. "Huh?" She tilted her head and took few steps ahead. Her eyes lyrically moved from one shelf downward and then aside where she spotted the child that was mentioned. Her eyes widened as she called the name.
"LEON!"
If it was not because the supermarket was loud and noisy, her voice might rang throughout the corner. She has been looking for him and now she found him, she placed her hands on her hip as she growled, literally. The growl was noticeable if one was to stand near her.
"WHERE have you been? You said you were going to the drink corner."
Things did not go well on Leon's part. He remembered he was excitedly heading to the drink corner when Dante stopped him. His sense tickled strangely as though something wrong was going on. Emerald eyes glanced up and around with his body turning left and right so he could get a full field of vision of his surrounding. There were many people around and, being someone who was raised with zero confidence, he avoided from meeting anyone in the eyes. Dante sighed, shaking his head in disbelief. "What are you afraid of, Leon?" he asked. Dante was his courageous personality- the one who can stand on his own and for Leon's sake. Scientifically, Dante was actually Leon, the real Leon in fact, for Leon was an entrapped conscious from the past. Due to how his father always beat him up if he was to disobey him, Leon was afraid to change himself- to grow up and to man up.
And that created Dante.
Leon hushed in his mind. Recently, he met few strange people. Some were fine, while some were not so great. Those who he meant by not so great were the boogeyman's subordinates. It was terrifying to remember how it happened and ended. The thought of having the same pattern tattooed on his skin made him shuddered. Why was he fated to be part of them? Why?! He could not think of a rational reason behind this. Dante had an idea or two why it happened, but it was not something he could reveal to Leon.
He killed his own father and a man. He was a killer.
All he wanted was to protect Leon and so he will. Well, perhaps he spoil him too much. Sighing, Dante ruffled the back of his head. Leon fidgeted nervously as he looked side to side, from one person to another as he passed by them. "Maybe I should have stuck with Haine and Min-Yung," he murmured under his breathe. Dante shrugged. Freedom is reachable, if he can simply brace himself to stretch his hand out and reach for it. Sadly, Leon was not that brave to even move a muscle unless Haine was there to tell him it was all right.
"LEON!"
Someone called his name so loud it sounded like a thunder roaring. It made the boy jumped on his stand with his tail and ears stood up straight. He turned to the direction immediately with his eyes widened and teary. "Wha..." he whined and looked at a figure of a woman he was very familiar with. He whined more when the raven-haired woman scolded him about where he has been. His head, ears and tail lowered themselves as he whined sadly. His eyes were teary. He gathered courage to speak.
"I... I was... but I'm lost..." he said. He was not actually lost. He simply lost in his thoughts because they were too many people. He looked up and blinked curiously. The boy took few steps towards her and her companion, cutting the gap between them little by little. A calm smile was offered despite the fact his emerald eyes were glassy from the tears. "And who is this?" he asked, bowing lightly at the light-haired lady.
"Please to meet you. Are you Haine's friend?" he asked delightfully. He knew Haine has few female friends but this one- he has never seen her around Nightshade before. It made him felt curious.
