Hello, everyone! after dealing with real life and the other nonsense of living, panny and i have decided to bring back war of change. give a round of applause. we’ve worked through all of the information and hopefully improved coherency and cohesion; however, tell us if we missed something. eventually, we’ll announce an event to celebrate the re-opening, so look out for information on that. -RAIDNE, THE HEAD ADMIN
From the moonless night, screams of terror and fear resound, spreading across the world and infecting the masses; however, those sleepless nights occurred years ago. A new era began with the fires of war, and with no end in sight, the residents of Selene Isle trudge through life, basking in the momentary peace. Despite their prayers for continued monotony and peace, a storm brews, stirred to life by the continued presence of Rapture and Wraith. And as we set our sights on the seemingly peace laden isle, we must ask: how shall this tale end?
As the years passed, the number of true pairs increased; however, they continued to live in the shadows, catering to the whims of the mundane. Seven Moons kept watch over them all, instructing them and assisting them, but for many, the attitudes and ideals of the organization were smoldering, suffocating. With Seven Moons and the mundanes, they could not grasp the freedom, the power dangling before their eyes. In the beginning, rebellion was a dream, a fantasy, a figment—developed by the repressed and carried forward due to the nature of humanity. No one expected the call to sound, and no one expected the call to be answered. However, it happened.
The founder has spoken, the siren has sounded and the order has been delivered. All that was left for the two assigned Regalia to nod and to answer the call. For the Vulpes, there will be no such thing as 'no' or 'I refuse' as the answer, for she was one of the two and was trusted to see this through. The female Regalia analyzed the map she just received minutes ago as her back lean against the brick wall, waiting for her partner for tonight's mission.
It was roughly 7 pm and the sun was slowly setting its curtain down for today, inviting the dark hours to put on its show. She hummed lightly with her head tilted in curious. Gibbous Moon district was not as hectic as the Crescent Moon at night. If this was indeed a mission that requires no room of error, when it comes to dealing with witnesses, it should be any problem. Shops should be closed, and there were less pedestrians in the district. She grinned lightly.
Perfect.
She rolled the map, grabbed her sheathed sword with one hand and started walking front. With each pace she took, she took with awareness that the sun's warmth was more or less like a bless to her. It was a goodbye to Hae-Sun, before she became Haine the Regalia's Vulpes. Her eyes closed as she took deep breathe.
Doll's eyes slowly opened to reveal green orbs that had obviously been in slumber only a moment or so before. Ah, this was what she did in her nights away from Sven. This was what she was meant to be, as she best represented what she was. A sloth, a seven sin, but also a regalina, one who could control others at whim. Though, a life had been split down the middle a long time ago, the girl was not just one person anymore but two that lived very different lives.
Bated breath as the girl moved to the call of the summons, to another call. If they put her with someone she didn't like she wouldn't be responsible for "accidents" that happened. It was as if they didn't learn their lesson after the first time. She had managed to injure more of the underlings than she had meant to but they were all annoying. The only one that she could even barely stand was the fox. A soft jingle reminded her of the bracelet that sat upon her wrist another sign of what she really was, and what she had become within Rapture.
Knowing to wait not longer, the girl grabbed the weapon at which she had become known by. Cold steel felt good against her palms as the woman carried the instrument that she used. A scythe, the only scythe user, in the organization, at least as far as she herself knew. She really didn't pay attention to things unless they involved a murdering spree. It always relieved those cold thoughts that radiated through her, as it released upon the prey that she had been sent to finish. Soft footsteps carried the sloth to gibious moon to meet the partner at which she had been assigned.
She hadn't even looked, just knew where to meet as the place to carry out the task. Midnight they had said. Midnight to kill, it was always fun to kill in the moonlight, somehow it felt like the blood stained harder. A small grin formed across her fragile face at the thought of bloodshed. Ah, while it wasn't a problem most of the time she got a little jittery when she didn't get to kill in a long while. Though there was always one person who had the power to control the sloth. A particular fox...
Padded footsteps stopped when she saw her, it was hard not to notice the woman... as beautiful and as deadly as she was. Someone the teen could work with correctly. This mission must have been important to send the two of them... "A the fox has come to save me," she purred for a moment before moving to the others side. "so tell me what is the deal with this mission.. I haven't even looked at it honestly. Knowing you, you already have a plan though."
A soft yawn escaped from her lips as the slight hint of a sadist smile twitched at her mouth.
"A the fox has come to save me," A voice mysteriously greeted her and rang the bell of familiarity in her mind. She tilted her head to the direction idly, along with her grip around the sword tightened, in response. To be frank, Haine was not the type who enjoyed the whole tag game idea. She rather tagged with no one as she felt it was better than more secure. However, her preference was put aside on its own when the mission has specifically to bring Rika Matsumaru along with her.
The Regalia's Dolla, though Haine preferred to call her Doll. For her to be able to nickname her such a name surely signified their relationship as cliques, right? True. For Haine, Rika was an exceptional elite member of Regalia who was able to accomplish various tasks, despite she was a Sacrifice- the member in the unit pair who was not gifted with powers to conjured spells. What interested the Vulpes more was the fact the petite-looking body could swing a deadly and dangerous weapon of a reaper. Silver eyes watched as Rika yawned. A sigh escaped from the partner. Honestly, what were they thinking of partnering both of them? Perhaps none was brave enough to step forward and offer themselves to become her partner. She heard rumors how most of them ended up with injuries and loss of limbs, here and there. Stranger though how such incidence never occurred when they were together.
Her eyes flickered away from the figure and with a light shrug of her shoulders, the female spoke, "well, considering the fact you are lazier than a hippo to do your homework on this task." She flickered the map upwards so it flew a bit in the mid-air and fell in Rika's direction. "We are going to burst into the building and find out who's the black sheep jerk. The blueprint will lead the way," she stated, tilting her head side to side trying to wear out the boredom of waiting for her. She hung her sheathed sword on her backside with its hilt pointing outwards to her left side for an easy grab. The sword position was never fixed, to be honest, as it often changed positions according to her comfortableness. She approached closer to the end of the rooftop while bending and when she reached it, she was already on her knee. Her eyes watched as the guards patrolled, equipped with firearms.
The female grinned and whistled. "My, this should be fun..." She shrugged her head to Rika's direction as if she was calling her to check it as well. "Looks like whoever this bastard is, he makes sure he is fully guarded." Her words heard lingering like the whispers of a Succubus, "What a nice way to welcome us."
OOC: so they met on the rooftop of a nearby building where they can see the patrolling securities. Up ahead is the building they have to infiltrate. Haine assumed the guy was there. So, what's the plan? Burst in quickly and then suddenly the arm goes on, or immediate ambush? XP
