Hello, everyone! after dealing with real life and the other nonsense of living, panny and i have decided to bring back war of change. give a round of applause. we’ve worked through all of the information and hopefully improved coherency and cohesion; however, tell us if we missed something. eventually, we’ll announce an event to celebrate the re-opening, so look out for information on that. -RAIDNE, THE HEAD ADMIN
From the moonless night, screams of terror and fear resound, spreading across the world and infecting the masses; however, those sleepless nights occurred years ago. A new era began with the fires of war, and with no end in sight, the residents of Selene Isle trudge through life, basking in the momentary peace. Despite their prayers for continued monotony and peace, a storm brews, stirred to life by the continued presence of Rapture and Wraith. And as we set our sights on the seemingly peace laden isle, we must ask: how shall this tale end?
As the years passed, the number of true pairs increased; however, they continued to live in the shadows, catering to the whims of the mundane. Seven Moons kept watch over them all, instructing them and assisting them, but for many, the attitudes and ideals of the organization were smoldering, suffocating. With Seven Moons and the mundanes, they could not grasp the freedom, the power dangling before their eyes. In the beginning, rebellion was a dream, a fantasy, a figment—developed by the repressed and carried forward due to the nature of humanity. No one expected the call to sound, and no one expected the call to be answered. However, it happened.
"I'm hungry. Anyone wanna grab a bite with me after the patrol?"

THUNK!
She landed gracefully on the edge of the building's top floor, crouching with her right palm on the surface beneath her, supporting her to stay still against a sudden strong wind blow. Silvery eyes were fixed on the road in front of her, carefully observed if there was anyone was about to pass by. The situation in the island has changed since many years ago. The existence of two groups; Wraith and Rapture, was well-known by the citizens in Selena Isle. However, rumors of an uninvited arrival of a new retaliation from underground world, Synister. She was not sure about Wraith, but it was a good thing she has few... she could say alliance, I guess, within the group. She recalled her conversation few days ago with a newly met acquaintance, Shiki. Her eyes closed.
It was part of her routine, and one of her presence signatures, that she would sing in replacement of a howl. The song she sang could be heard for at least few meters away if the night was this silent. You see, Rapture's mask was a special mask. No one knew about this but aside from it being the group's emblem, it is also attached with a micro-chip and communication device. The micro-chip was hidden in the ear part, while a small wireless microphone and earphone was given along with the mask. Thus, there was no need for Haine to sing out loud. Most of the Rave would listen intently as the song was a song of awakening. It reminded them the reason they were there, and the purposes of their fight. Their ultimate resolution will be their greatest weapon. She fixed her sitting posture, by resting one of her legs and hung it down by the edge of the roof and another leg was crossed over the other. Two hands were resting behind.
Hae-Sun was often seen traveled around. It was rare to see her accompanied by anyone and it made others wondered. Where is her unit partner? The sight of her being alone brought in a shallow conclusion, that she was weak. Really now? She would be a weak one, if she was a Sacrifice. It was a naive thing, to say the least, to think she will turn down a battle and run away with her tail between her legs. She was too vain to do such a thing. Haine considered herself an older sister, and the rest of the Rave were her little siblings. She raised a hand to her ear and switched on her communication device she has attached along with her mask.
"I'm hungry. Anyone wanna grab a bite with me after the patrol?" She invited a number of anonymous listeners. Her breathe heard shallow and followed by soft chuckles, she continued, "But it'll be your treat though. I'll pay you back tomorrow."
I'M NOT ANGRY, I'M JUST SAYING … SOMETIMES GOODBYE IS A SECOND CHANCE
silence settled over the alley, drenching the world in muted volumes and hues; however, a pulsing energy existed underneath the cloying, discomforting blanket of silence. the crescent moon district thrived during the darker hours, burst into life with the setting of the sun. people traversed the streets with the intention of becoming wasted or of securing a companion for the night. they drowned themselves in alcohol and anonymous sex, for each proved to be a coping mechanism. their vile behavior disgusted the teen, who stalked through the poorly lit alleys and attempted to avoid the mainstream crowd. in the lesser known businesses, civility reigned while the other establishments seemed to be teetering on the edge of implosion. synclair did not understand the appeal of the red light district, striving to only enter the district for rapture business and leaving immediately upon witnessing the conclusion of his assignments. he, however, found his dual life invigorating and frightening, for the fear of aurelio’s death haunted him, reawakening his nightmares and forcing him to admit his own ineptitude.
pale lips parted to allow a sigh to pierce the silence of his current location, having halted his forward momentum due to an unexpected obstacle. ice blue tinted eyes bored into the lounging forms of two unknown individuals, who utilized the brick walls of the alley as their support. one brow arched in indifference as leering glances and barking laughter issued from the men, shattering the peace of his walk and eliciting a fleeting sense of regret. due to his part-time job, synclair generally ventured into the district close to the end of hae-sun’s patrol, translating into the reemergence of the district’s scum. disdain colored his sharp features as a voice crackled into existence from the headset contained within his falcon mask. the mask rested against the side of his head, placed in the perfect position to keep the device from affecting the precarious perch of his glasses. he refused to purchase contacts and dealt with the imposition of his mask without complaint, realizing the importance of the object.
recognition flashed across his features as he lifted a hand toward his mask, activating his communication device and gifting the watching thugs with an invitation to attack. their posture radiated the aura of an alpha predator, meaning that neither could be categorized as a sacrifice. if no one minds, i can secure a discount at pierah’s, but the pasta special might seem unappetizing at this late hour, synclair stated, condescending tone grating the pride of the steadily approaching strangers. for myself, i think i might inquire about securing an ice pack. i’m getting quite the nasty glares from two punks. with a calculated step backwards, the fair haired fighter stepped into the dim light of a nearby window, displaying his mask for the viewing pleasure of his attackers. a terrified whimper escaped from one of the men, who grabbed his friend’s wrist and pivoted to flee in the opposite direction of the blonde. with a careless shrug of his shoulders, he continued onwards, altering his course to align with hae-sun’s preferred route.
AFTER IT WAS DONE WHEN THERE WAS NOTHING LEFT TO BE

Milo rung his hands gently and stretched out his fingers before lowering them into his pockets and nodding gently to the rather plump bartender before him. For the past hour and a half he had been tuning the grand piano sitting the main room of the bar he was occupying and now that the job was done he had secured himself enough money to cover two weeks of his rent if he were to use it for such a thing.
It had started out as a harmless offer after hearing the man complaining about the waste of space the instrument had become since he hadn't had time to hire someone to tune it. Milo wasn't one to drink excessively, he was just sitting at the bar because he was rather useless on visual patrols and was far more useful in a place he could use his hearing to his advantage. There was always a chance that some valuable information might be spilled after one lager too many or a shady pool game gone wrong.
Milo wasn't one to pass up an opportunity to show off the skills he had, so when he had overheard a man complaining about his piano cranking out terrible sounds, he spoke up. Now, thanks to his outgoing need to prove his worth to even the most complete of strangers, he was feeling quite satisfied with himself.
The street traffic had begun to build up around him and so as to not show his obvious difficulties to what could be potentially dangerous strangers, Milo pulled his mask out of his satchel and pulled it over his face. As vulnerable as he may be, he was willing to risk bumping into a few things if it meant he wouldn't let any possible threats know he was blind. Thankfully, he knew exactly where he was so it was easy to count the steps to any place in particular that he may be going. He had manoeuvred himself through this area of Crescent Moon many times since his joining Rapture, being blind didn't change that.
Hearing the soft buzz of his intercom speaker awakening and then the gentle lilt of Haine's voice, Milo tucked himself against the side of the nearest building and waited to hear what she had to say. Only seconds later he heard Synclair's voice confirming the plan and offering up a destination, a place Milo knew how to get to quite easily. He could get there without having to pass through the crowd either, which would make concealing himself a much simpler task.
"Sounds like a plan to me," he buzzed in, feeling at his open watch face to touch where the hands were and figure out exactly what time it was "My treat, I just finished a small favour for a... friend and I've got some cash to burn. Who else is coming?"
Turning down the small side street next to the building, Milo began walking in the direction of Pierah's, figuring it was at least a place to start walking to, even if people changed their minds.
deepinside it's something true ♥ You're the only reason I fight♥ You're the best thing in my life♥
He just stuck close to the guy, he wouldn't leave Syn's side. Why would he do anything else. He didn't seem that attached to him at first, but of course Aurelio felt awkward. What was going on here? Should he be prepared for this. Probably but with all of that he was so far from prepared. He would not end up dealing with these things. Not right now. The boy barely had anything to say to these people. He seemed to be in his own little world, or just not talking. Since he didn't want to talk. Talking would be harsh, it would make it difficult. He wasn't entirely healed from his accident either so the child had to fake a lot of things. Or keep his issues hidden. So far he hadn't slowed them down yet, so that was a plus.
Aurelio hated the idea of being a burden to someone after all, so he'd have his reasons for things. Even if people didn't actually like it. At this moment things seemed alright. Which was good. He just glanced back from one person to the other then back to Syn again. He didn't want to lose sight of him. Not out here. He didn't speak, Aurelio was still trying to keep quiet as he just glanced at Syn. What was waiting for them? She had some plan, unless it was just one of those random things people did after work.
He watched the idiots flee. Why were people so scared of Syn. He didn't see why Syn was so scary. Well okay not entirely, part of him knew why. But he'd rather just keep that to himself. Pretty much a better idea right there. This was not making him feel any better, honestly Aurelio didn't handle certain situation well. And this was one of them. He wouldn't say a word, he just seemed to keep on remaining quiet. It wasn't like he knew who else he'd see. Well he did but he also didn't. The rest of the group would appear with food knowing them, it was always food that brought them out.
WHEN I WAKE UP, I'M AFRAID, SOMEBODY ELSE MIGHT TAKE MY PLACE...
Sometimes he just couldn't help it. His mind would wonder from the things that he was supposed to be focusing on. It was a habit that was probably only typically known by the people he knew the most. That was at most a handful of people. He wasn't very good at making friends and so he didn't have very many that he could lay claim to. He was lucky enough that he managed to stay in relationships as long as he did but that was usually up to the point of sex and then it was done.
Felix didn't have much interest in relationships and his attitude towards them were probably exactly why they ended up the way they did. He didn't have time to worry about those types of things when he had a little sister and a partner to find. Most of the time he was distracted from all of that and it wasn't like he really needed his partner. He had gotten this far without one and he wasn't the only regalia without a partner so it wasn't that big of a deal. He was more concerned about the sister who he had been away from for years now and the promise that he had made to her.
The gray haired male was currently recovering from another lock in session that he had. His writing had been deemed far more important and thus his quirk had shined through for 3 days straight. There was no doubt that he didn't look like he was in any condition to fight or even do a patrol but he was doing it. He didn't care and despite having eating nothing but junk food for that duration. The mention of food being on someone else sure perked at his ears and gathered his attention. There were a few people that were also going to join after patrol was over and he had nothing against letting someone pay for food. He really did need some nutriment. He adjusted his wolf mask as he started to head off in that direction it would be fine since he could still observe the area as he made his way to said destination.
"I'm up for it." Felix responded to the question that had been given out as to who else would be going.
OH, DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU GOT INTO? CAN YOU HANDLE WHAT I'M 'BOUT TO DO?
stars twinkled merrily overhead, mocking the fair haired fighter. reijne leaned against the brick wall of an unnamed and rundown building; however, the decrepit building did not subtract from the glory of the gibbous moon district. no, people easily ignored the eye sore and focused on the brightly lit façades of the other establishments contained within the area. sapphire hued eyes watched the people strolling in and out of pierah’s with interest while smoke curled around his figure. his stationary figure provided him with an insight into the mindset of the individuals roving the streets, and he figured the tourists had lost their way, confounded by the circular layout of selene isle. pale lips quirked into an amused smile while he flicked his cigarette away, watching the smoldering embers flicker in and out of existence. exhaustion weighed upon him as he tipped his head to the side. his body rested against the rough texture of the bricks, protected by his clothing and assisting him in maintaining an upright position.
reijne thrived during the earlier hours of the day due to his position within fantasie, incorporated. his incompetent underlings forced him to greet the sun, and they pressured him into completing assignments and remaining on a normal sleep schedule. a morose sigh escaped him as he lifted a hand to run through his hair, ruffling the locks and ruining his pristine image. his secretary managed to secure a business meeting, which stretched over several hours and resulted in him accepting a dinner offer. the white haired individual did not regret mooching off his prospective client and enjoyed the food, but the company was lackluster. he attempted to persuade his secretary to accompany him; however, lilianth refused, much to his chagrin. perhaps he should dock the effeminate male’s pay. vindictive pleasure assaulted his mind as his gloved fingers dipped into the pocket of his skinny jeans, wrapping around the familiar box of cigarettes. slender digits easily plucked a cancer stick from the container and brought it to his mouth.
buzzing reached his ears as his hand retreated to his pocket, fishing for his beloved lighter. voices crackled over the communication line and directly into his ear, for the raven mask rested on the side of his head, tilted slightly and resting peacefully in its assigned location. due to his inability to escape the clutches of his companion, reijne skipped on his assigned patrol, wasting the precious time within the confines of pierah’s. a scowl settled over his features when the establishment’s name echoed over the line, but he did not attempt to argue the decision, recognizing that pierah’s would be the only suitable destination for the rapidly expanding group. haine’s statement garnered immediate interest and had the other members salivating at the thought of free food. with a careless shrug of his shoulders, he unearthed his lighter, allowing the flame to grace the end of his cigarette and drawing in a deep breath of the lovely nicotine. his drug of choice helped soothe his ruffled feathers and elicited the reemergence of his flirtatious nature.
voices continued to pip up, offering opinions or stating their intention to join. with his cigarette clutched in one hand, he lifted the other to shift the mask, bringing the miniscule microphone closer to his lips. reijne loathed the idea of garnering attention from the passing imbeciles and delighted in embarrassing those listening. i can secure a table, he began, voice faint and purposely devoid of emotion. securing seating for four and an ice bag for one? his words gained a teasing undertone as the cigarette returned to his mouth, body moving away from his chosen spot and feet carrying him toward the alley’s exit. the glittering lights greeted him as he emerged; however, he continued moving forward without any visible hesitation, awaiting affirmation or corrections from the other rapture members. he doubted that the employees at the Italian restaurant would hand over a bag of ice without reason, so he hoped that the blonde fighter had been joking with his request. he wanted a peaceful evening.
"My, this is my first time SOMEONE actually wanted an ice bag after a night patrol"
Patrolling often drags their energy to zero. It was a rare occasion for any of them to meet up with unexpected events that could cause them to fire up in excitement. Even though it sounded boring, it assured the female vulpine that everyone was all right. Too much entertainment can be dangerous sometimes. She was not ready to suffer a heart attack from news about any of her Rapture babies were assaulted. She was not ready to go berserk and sink this island.
Do not test her pride as a Rapture, for her rage can break the seven doors of Hell. Her wary over the group; her second family, surpassed everything she ever cared for. So when she heard responses through the communication device, she could not help but smiled widely behind the fox mask. Buzzes heard between voices of her brethren who answered her quite plain invitation. As they responded, her mind browsed through memory records for recognition. There was the falcon, Felis, Canis and Corvus. The falcon was a rave, and a very interesting young fellow, she could say. Since he mentioned about being glared by some punks, the female abruptly switched on her mini microphone. Chuckles heard ringing followed by her response regarding the matter.
"Don't tell me you let them walk away just like that? Tsk tsk tsk, you should make them pay for being daring enough to try and pluck your feather, Syn boy." She said carelessly. You see, Rapture was an enclosed group. There was no other way to be part of the pack, but to be invited by the Regalia, and she was very sure Regalia such as herself would not blindly choose some ordinary peeps to be part of them. The Rapture was too prideful to seek people who do not deem to be part of their night parade. People who have no self-reassurance, pride and value on their life were people they refused to linger around with, let alone to call them their brethren.
She stood up by the edge of the rooftop, looking over the street below. "Is that friend of yours with you, Syn? Did they piss you off 'cause they were eyeing on him?" She asked, literally trying to tap on the boy's sensitive part. She knew the falcon well, but not the young baby she always see with him. He didn't seem the type to part his lips even if he was threatened to death to speak, and that made Haine deemed him worthy to be Syn's partner. Just that. It didn't mean she like him, but she knew he didn't care about it either.
She was ready to leap down onto one of the balcony when she coughed a response to the rest, "Pierah's it is then!" The female grinned to herself, glaring down at the distance between where she was standing and the balcony on the fourth floor. "Well then..." She whispered. She bent down, leaped into the air and let the gravity force pulled her downward. She made a spin, like how a cat would adjust itself so it could land on all four paws, and grabbed onto the balcony. Loud pang heard as her scabbard's metallic edge collided with the iron and she let herself go. With a whooshing sound, she landed on the ground on one knee and one palm. Grinning, she felt slightly in vain over the perfect and safe fall she had demonstrated.
Sadly, there was no one to see it. Oh well.
"Wrong," she scoffed as a response to the Corvus's miscalculation. Her mind has mentally calculated the number of seats who will be joining her for some snacks in the restaurant. "There are six of us, unless the falcon's baby boy refuses to hang out with us," She ran her fingers through her jet black hair and huffed. "My, this is my first time SOMEONE actually wanted an ice bag after a night patrol. And actually received money too..." The last sentence was pointed to the Felis, or Milo, who kind of bluntly said about doing a favor for a friend and received some cash. She started heading for the location mentioned, confirming the plan with the other five.
"Be there by ten minutes." She said and switched off the device.
@zeit07, milo jones, @aurelio, @heroin4 & @zeit09 OOC: Notice she's the only female? lol this is awkward maaaan
