Hello, everyone! after dealing with real life and the other nonsense of living, panny and i have decided to bring back war of change. give a round of applause. we’ve worked through all of the information and hopefully improved coherency and cohesion; however, tell us if we missed something. eventually, we’ll announce an event to celebrate the re-opening, so look out for information on that. -RAIDNE, THE HEAD ADMIN
From the moonless night, screams of terror and fear resound, spreading across the world and infecting the masses; however, those sleepless nights occurred years ago. A new era began with the fires of war, and with no end in sight, the residents of Selene Isle trudge through life, basking in the momentary peace. Despite their prayers for continued monotony and peace, a storm brews, stirred to life by the continued presence of Rapture and Wraith. And as we set our sights on the seemingly peace laden isle, we must ask: how shall this tale end?
As the years passed, the number of true pairs increased; however, they continued to live in the shadows, catering to the whims of the mundane. Seven Moons kept watch over them all, instructing them and assisting them, but for many, the attitudes and ideals of the organization were smoldering, suffocating. With Seven Moons and the mundanes, they could not grasp the freedom, the power dangling before their eyes. In the beginning, rebellion was a dream, a fantasy, a figment—developed by the repressed and carried forward due to the nature of humanity. No one expected the call to sound, and no one expected the call to be answered. However, it happened.
"Quite early you showed up today. Waiting for a date?"

Few more minutes to go and the nightclub will come back to its glorious state once more. Like a nocturnal creature, Nightshade was full life when the sun has sunk and the light has vanished from the sky, being replaced by a black background with glitter stars and a moon. The sun was slowly retreating, leaving for the gracious moon to take over the stage. A sigh escaped from the female's mouth. She was not sure why she seemed a little bit out these days. Well, perhaps she knew the reason but it was too damn embarrassing to admit. She raised her hand up and lightly covered her face that was glowing red. God, forget about it, Hae-Sun! Few days has passed since then. She could not forget the turbulence she brought on him and how idiotic she looked like. She could not get over the night that she went into a Missing In Action state for few days. She had switched off her phone, packed her stuff into one bag of luggage and headed into the forest to hide herself. She had a great amount of remorse to her fellow brethren about this that it became a lump with flickering sparks of rage. She had to calm herself and therefore she had seek solace by being, for some time, alone in the forest out there.
Tonight was her first night back in the nightclub, and she was not prepared to meet the rest of her Rapture. She knew they were not the type to question her decision, but damn they will give her this one annoying stare the moment they spot her. She flipped open her phone and looked at the time. It was still early to party but since she was Nightshade's owner, she should open it herself once in a while. Nightshade was an exclusive nightclub due to its state as Rapture's lair. They do not welcome outsiders. They only welcomed those they have deemed worthy, regardless the age, gender and national. Haine had glanced her eyes up quickly and back on the phone before she realized there was a figure nearby. She raised her head up and gave the person a good look. A girl? Haine had her head tilted as she approached her. A grin appeared on the older woman's face when she realized who the girl was.
"Quite early you showed up today. Waiting for a date?" She teased her and chuckled. Her knee-high boots heels clanked in rhythm as she walked passed by her, abruptly shrugged her shoulder. Silvery blue eyes glanced behind for the girl. This was not her first time seeing this girl in her club, and would probably not be the last. Her height made her looked like a secondary high student. She was a lot taller than her even when she was only in eight grade. Wonder on whose invitation she will enter in the club this time.
Honestly, it took Miel quite a lot of effort to work herself up into feeling comfortable coming to Nightshade. She knew about all the sorts of people that came here, and despite some of them just being happy-go-lucky idiots looking for a good time, the neighbourhood it lied in had a reputation of it's own. It wasn't the sort of place a four-foot-eight, pixie faced virgin could go to without feeling a little vulnerable.
Most of the people she looked for fun with were people with boringly important day jobs who had particularly vanilla hobbies and a keen eyes for something that spelled danger and excitement in their average lives. Crescent Moon District on the other hand opened her world up to the dirty, body-grinding, sweaty activities that usually ended in things she hadn't fully experienced yet. It excited her, but she was rightfully wary. Nightshade was caught up in all of it, but it tended to people of a slightly more acceptable calibre. More her speed. Being a guest at the club was something she was very proud of.
Letting her crystalline pools gaze over the length of the bar and up to the lady greeting her, Miel smiled coyly and moved to give herself some purchase against the bar top. Her short stature gave her a little trouble but the small selection of seats gave her confidence that she would stay comfortable here while keeping the attention of the other lady.
"More like looking for one, figured I could use some liquid courage," she stated matter-of-factly, dipping her shoulders forward in a gentle shrug, the straps on her velveteen dress buckling a little "Think you could surprise me with something strong?"
Giving the bar a once over, as if she hadn't been there many times to inspect it's collection, Miel gave a significant look at the various almost toxic looking bottles and let out a delighted breath. "I'm sure you've got great taste."
"I'm impressed you can drink without stumbling around few hours later."

Without her mask, nobody realized she was the pack leader of beasts that inhibited in this dark lair. Without she introduced herself as a Regalia, nobody would believe the Rapture was led by a woman- a very vain, independent and tactless female Fighter. It was rather ironic how some of the new recruits were back-talking about one of the Regalia, specifically a female called Regalia's Vulpine, in front of her. She would simply slip away and have one of the senior members scolded them and shrieked in horror when they all realized the Vulpine was her. It was amusing to hear their cries for forgiveness because for sure the rumors included how she had carried punishments for any form of violation and disloyalty displayed among the members. She was not one who can look things with one eye closed, no.
She was not going to pretend betraying Rapture was not big deal.
There Haine was, being the young woman Ha-Sun like always. She raised an eyebrow at the other female, who answered her in a manner that appeared unsuited for such adorable face. She could not understand what she was saying. Was she alone this time, or was she being dumped? She hoped the latter was not the case. The older female lightly shrugged her shoulder and continued walking until she reach the other end of the bar. Eyes lingered on one of the bar stools in front of her. There was a box full of white papers. Her eyes caught something that made her hummed. Calmly, she answered the girl while her hand reached for the box's content. "Sorry, I'm not the type that can handle alcohol well." She declared, indirectly saying she has zero knowledge about the liquor offered in the nightclub. Hae-Sun may be the owner of Nightshade, but she relied the business operation entirely on the manager. She only watched things and make sure things that happen in the nightclub, remain in the nightclub. She took out an envelope which her eyes had caught beneath the pile of unused papers and looked at the address. The female remained silent and turned to the aqua-haired girl.
"I'm impressed you can drink without stumbling around few hours later." She gave her a credit she thought she deserved to earn. She even asked to recommend her any stronger liquor than the one she usually has. She placed the letter back inside the box and cat-walked towards her, swiftly leaned against the bar and took a seat beside her. Her eyes glanced over shelves of drinks on display, looking disinterested in what it offered. "What will be your favorite to try? It's in the house." She said and nodded her head, ensuring it will be her treat.
Watching as the other woman came to take her seat on the nearby stool, Miel smiled. Haine was beautiful, tall (at least in comparison to Miel), and seemed quite tactful during what Miel figured might be a sensitive situation in her eyes. It was nice, having the woman notice her and ask her simple, trapless questions. Most of the people who recognized her when she came into Nightshade quickly became suspicious. A girl of her type usually got what they wanted the first time they came in, any extra visits generally gave the impression that she was prowling for something specific. She knew well enough not to snoop, but it wouldn't be the first time she was accused of it.
"May I have a whiskey?" she asked politely, her eyes following Haine's movements carefully. A habit she had picked up after a few dangerous encounters with strangers, wariness came easily to her. She gave the older woman a cheeky smile, "If you're offering, I'll take the best you've got."
Moving to pull her hair over her right shoulder, Miel ran her fingers through the knotted ends and straightened herself out. She began to fidget with the locks, playing gently to give herself a distraction from the nerves that came with speaking to the older woman. She had seen Haine many times since her first visit to Nightshade, the woman had always seemed hospitable but cautious, wrapped up in her responsibilities. It wouldn't surprise Miel if the other woman took a lot of pride in her business and the kind of patrons it acquired.
"You don't drink?" a gentle prodding, a sweet smile in curiousity "I just always drink slow, I don't have the body to drink recklessly and not feel it in the morning." She laughed, leaning away from the bar to gesture toward herself. She had dressed in a simple navy dress with soft velveteen fabric to keep her warm enough on her way home. She hardly cared for what she wore these days, believing that winning her way through conversation was much more satisfying.
"How are you though? I see you around all the time, but this would be the first time I've managed to catch you." she perked up slightly, realisation hitting her that she still hadn't made herself known. Extending her hand, she offered her introduction "I'm Miel, by the way."
"I'm the owner of Nightshade. Delighted to make your acquaintance, Miel."

Time paced slow and steady in the sleeping nightclub, so as the conversation. She has no interest on plain-looking creatures, believing it was a waste of investment in terms of energy and time to try and have a conversation with them. They were boring and simple. Even a small kindergarten can entertain her better than just a 'how are you' talk. The woman fixed her sitting posture and examined the younger female. If she was running a simple bar, she would have been suspicious about her presence. She would have asked her to leave since she appeared too young to hang around in an adult playground. Fortunately, she was not. Looks can be deceiving and while she was meaning herself, the same phrase can be applied to her. The woman chuckled lightly as she turned herself away from facing the bar towards the space beside her. Low murmur heard escaped from her as she replied her, "Whiskey it is then."
Now, while serving was not a big problem for her, she still felt reluctant to do it. The fact she simply could not stand strong smell of alcohol made it even worse. That was the sole reason why she doesn't drink. Still, the female abide to the young girl's request to have a glass of Whiskey as she had promised it will be her treat. She took a detour around the bar and grabbed an empty glass. Her jet black hair swiftly swung as she moved and reached few things here and there. There was not a second she stopped to think. She knew exactly where was what and, like a trained bartender, was working her magic on the drink.
"You don't drink?" The question knocked her mind and made the female raised her head up slightly so she could see her. Silvery blue eyes took a good look at the baby-face. She intently listened to her as she continued speaking but with a statement. Being someone who has never tasted even a drop of liquor, she may not be able to understand her points. However, she has seen many men and woman dropped to the ground like timber due to over-drunk and ended up groaning in pain in the next morning. Sweet sound of laughter flustered Haine, who in return chuckled lightly and returned her gaze back on the glass. She poured liquid from a bottle labelled Macallan 1939 into the glass after she had put two ice cubes in it. She grabbed small squared tissues and placed it underneath the glass as she served it in front of her.
"Here you go. Enjoy." She welcomed her to have taste. A smile appeared along with a shrug at the sight of the girl fixing her long hair. Such astounding features she has. If she was to stay among the crowds even in a place as dark as a nightclub, she might stand out. Perhaps a few inches taller, she could become the star at outshines the rest. Hae-Sun simply leaned against the bar with her sitting across. Her long leg crossed the other as she bent slightly down so she could lean her hands on the bar counter.
How was her, she asked? The Vulpine tilted her head towards her with her eyes slightly narrowed. The smile slowly changed its form, turning into a sheepish grin. Well, should she tell her the truth, or should she simply lie? Hae-Sun was not sure if answering that question seemed to be an appropriate thing to do. Still, a question is a question and it will be very rude to leave it hanging. A hand was extended, next, for a shake as the girl introduced herself. Miel, she called herself. The female stood straight, extended her right hand and clasped it firm and secure on to the girl's. Her voice heard saying, "The name's Haine..." She nodded and raised her head up. She looked around with a long hum escaped from her mouth before she turned to look at Miel.
"...the owner of Nightshade. Delighted to make your acquaintance, Miel." Finally, she let go of her hand. She took few steps back until she felt she was backing shelves of drinks. Her eyes fixed on the girl as she answered her early question.
"No I don't. I have strong senses of smell and taste I barely stand a smoker even if he is one block away. And I've been busy. Got to keep the place clean from pests, see." She said, somewhat hiding the fact she had been patrolling to chase off opposing affiliations off Rapture's ground. It was hard considering she trusted no one to do it but herself, even though she has power to order them. She continued her sentence in a hush tone, as if she was telling her a secret.
"So better be careful not to stray too far into the alleys."
After a moment of taking Haine's words into consideration and thinking them over seriously, Miel met the other woman's eyes with a sly grin "You don't have to worry about me," she began, reaching into the small clutch she had brought in with her "I can protect myself, I've had a lot of practise." Moving to dangle a glitter key chain in front of Haine, Miel moved some of the keys to show off a pink, cat face shaped brass knuckles with sharp ears, a rape whistle, and a lilac coloured can of mace.
It wasn't like she had to bring them out too often, but it wasn't much to say that she wouldn't know what to do with them if a threat came up. Most of the kinds of people she took home were nice people for appearance, but she'd had more than her fair share of men try and force her to er.. lose her ears before she was ready. That kind of thing wasn't something she would allow, and it usually lead to a brief encounter with her key chain before running to a safer location. She was not one to be easily pressured into anything she didn't want to do.
"Might I ask what the big worry is though?" Miel reached for her tumbler, lifted it to her lips and took a big sip "I mean, besides the usual drunken unruly and the lecherous old men creeping about."
Readjusting her position on the barstool so she can lean her side against it for stability, she crosses her legs and moves to tighten the strap of her heels. "You've got good whiskey, is everything else in this place up to standard? I imagine you run a tight ship, you sure look it."
There's so many dreams & secret I'm in all of them, which one do you like? Try and choose, I’ll take the handle away I'll grab your steering wheel and drive away
My oh my. The revelation made the young woman hawed in surprise. How interesting. Few minutes ago, she thought the sweet angel looking girl was a little bit amazing with her drinking skills. Hae-Sun leaned against the counter with her elbows on top of it and one leg bent behind. It would be normal for a person to be surprised and astonished with the defensive tools she showed, but not Hae-Sun. She could pretend to be clueless but she hated putting up an act. After all, nothing good comes from faking things. It is as if you do not appreciate what and who you are.
The woman made an intriguing yet soft whistle and agreed with her statement over this matter. "Never judge the book by its cover, I guess," she exclaimed.
Kids these days were highly violent, not that she was any different from them. She was also part of the 'kid's' generation. She hasn't realized the fact that the baby-faced girl sitting before her was only several years younger. No to mention, she was a violent kid, sort of. Well, she really enjoyed the thrill of rampaging and causing chaos but not too extreme and too random. All the noises and the havoc will give her headache. Things need to happen accordingly; at the right place and at the right time. So there was no need for her to cause tantrum when there was no good reason to. It will not be a good form of entertainment for the audience if it keeps happening right?
Her eyes lingered up on the wall clock on top of the opposite bar. Few minutes more and the nightclub will become lively as usual nights. She did say she hate noises, didn't she? Well, not when she was in the club. The blasting sound, the booming beats from the record played by DJ and the sound of people calling her were not something she could hate, ever. She loved the chaotic environment in Nightshade. She took a ride in the train of thoughts when she recalled about Miel. She still has no clue about her and how she was able to slip in to the exclusive and members only nightclub. The train stopped half-way when the sky-blue haired girl asked about her concerns over her. Haine blinked few times and, slowly feeling amused, a smile appeared at one corner of her lips.
"Curious one, I see, though curiosity kills a cat, Miel. But I guess you are not a cat," she said, chuckling under her breathe with her lips closed shut afterwards. Pushing herself up so she could stand straight back, Hae-Sun crossed her arm casually with the hands placed above the elbows. A hum escaped. "Where's the fun in spoiling the secrets now, am I right?" She gave her the answer, in a way she was actually avoiding from telling her the truth. The jet black haired female swiftly ran her eyes behind over each shelf of liquors being displayed and looked back at her. "Well, of course. Our patrons are not the usual ones. Only those who receive invitations, with control over various field in this island, are allowed to come in here," she stated the truth. There was also another type of group of patrons in the club, but she preferred to keep it hidden. She took an empty glass, wiped its inside and outside with white cloth and put some ice cubes in. While she was doing that, Haine spoke, "So Miel, tell me about yourself a little. The usual."
“
Where's the fun in spoiling the secrets now, am I right?
"So Miel, tell me about yourself a little. The usual."
Miel smiled gently, her eyes focussed on Haine only long enough to direct the grin at her before she took a sip of her drink. There was only so much she could say to Haine really, she knew far too much about the people she had uh, been with over the years to really say anything about that kind of thing. Most of her life revolved around it though, seducing and manipulating people with her charm and body language until she got what she wanted out of them. She'd made a hefty amount of money off blackmailing and she hadn't even had to lose her ears.
Miel was very good at what she did.
"Well," she began, sticking her finger into her drink and stirring the ice gently, her skin goose pimpling from the sudden temperature change "I'm a florist, a natural blue," she winked, leaving the joke to keep Haine guessing "And I have a really good knack at getting what I want from anyone I please."
She supposed she sounded spoiled and almost childish with how she had worded it, but is was the most basic way she could tell Haine the truth without putting herself in jeopardy. Miel had destroyed the lives of many important people since she had started highschool; doctors, psychiatrists, teachers, the list went on and on. It was easy when she was under age, a simple threat to have the police called generally had people begging at her feet and offering anything they had to keep their marriage, job, riches, anything and everything really.
"I don't like causing a fuss," she commented, pulling her finger from her glass and drinking the last of her whiskey "I live a pretty decent and quiet lifestyle, I just have unique tastes. What do you like to do for fun, Miss Haine?"
"you should try it sometimes, I can take you for one round if you like"
It was amazing how this girl could easily stirred Hae-Sun's interest to know more about her. She was pretty attracted by the baby-faced girl but it was not something so obviously visible on her calm face. Hands were busy preparing a drink for herself while her ears were listening intensely for the girl. Her eyes did take off from the glass and looked at Miel as she said she was a natural blue. Natural blue, huh? Her winking made it sound excitedly wrong to the older female, though she preferred not to think wrongly about her. Her eyes returned back to where they were supposed to see; on the drinks she was preparing. She poured plain water in and let the ice cubes made clicking sound as they knocked onto one another.
She let a haw escaped from her mouth here and there as a response that she was indeed listening to her. However, when a question was slapped back at her, Hae-Sun raised an eyebrow at Miel as if she was a bit confused by the sudden change of topic. "Uh?" She made an unidentified sound of lost and then laughed in response. "For fun? Let's see..." She placed the plain iced water on top of the counter, leaned her body against the counter and promptly looked up. "I enjoy star-gazing and clubbing. Sometimes I do... free-running." She smirked cunningly. Free-running was not the best word to describe her night activities in the island, but the excitement was as equally thrilling as free-running. Her eyelids closed half-way as she continued speaking, "you should try it sometimes, I can take you for one round if you like." She stood up, took her drink along and had taken a gulp before she placed it down on the counter and made the ice cubes and inner wall of the glass produced clang sound.
She recalled the youth's words earlier, about her being good at getting what she wanted. The vulpine hummed in delight and leaned back close to the baby face girl. She whispered alluringly, "Now then, how about you try and persuade me to give you something you want?" Truly, she wanted to see how far this girl could bend her. She pretty much knew she was a Sacrifice, for her voice resonated well to her ears. Now she just needed to figure out how far her voice can reach her.
"I enjoy star-gazing and clubbing. Sometimes I do... free-running."
Free-running? Miel was confused into silence for a moment as her mind chased the idea of what exactly that might be. There was no room for question about how fit Haine was, her physique was strong and lithe, it was obvious in the way she carried herself. This still didn't really explain what the activity was though, and it left Miel wondering just why Haine had referred to it as such. Did she call it free-running because it made her feel freedom, or was it just the name of an activity she'd not heard of?
"Sounds strenuous," laughed Miel, hoping to show that despite her small frame she wasn’t exactly the most pro-active person when it came to exercise “I’d like that very much, I don’t get to do anything but swim, though I enjoy doing it quite a lot.”
Haine's next request sobered her up a little though, the sudden enquiry about her skills left her feeling a little dizzy. Surely Haine wasn't being serious? For someone in Haine's position, it would take many meetings for Miel to establish a relationship of that sort. Haine was a suspicious person, Miel could read that on her very easily, she would not allow herself to be used and mistreated, especially by someone she had just met.
"Ah, well you see, my persuasions would not work on you because I have already given myself away," she began, gesturing to herself with a light press of her hand to her chest "For me to use you, I would have had to work my way through the people you knew, give you a reason to trust me and allow me to be by your side, at which point I would have manipulated you into feeling like you had to protect me."
Miel fell silent for a moment, figuring that since she wasn't trying to manipulate Haine at all, she could continue without many risks. People were only angry when she was in too deep and they realised they were being lied to. With this, she decided to finish her explanation.
"I would pretend to be loyal to you, or at least build up an image of you that you would believe was worth clinging to, take everything I could get from you while you doted upon me, and then leave you."
Looking up at Haine from where he gaze had fallen to her empty glass, Miel gave the older woman a small smile. "My skill is that no one ever sees me coming."
To deceive someone, you will have to put on a mask and the more you deceive people, the more masks you will possess. And soon, you have no idea who you are- your real face.
For Hae-Sun, such situation has occurred way too often that it made herself wondered, who she really was and the reason she even be here in the first place. However, she was too confident of herself that not even a strong wind could blew her feet away. Hearing the young girl spoke about her talent to persuade was very unsettling. The details and the step-by-step seemed way beyond something she could comprehend. She could see a flowchart of how this was done and it was scary, really. Her eyes rested down on the empty glass. In order to infiltrate someone, one needs to earn the trust of not only the target but also the people around him. Once one is absolutely sure everything is in control, destroying the man would be a piece of cake. It may not be through physical threats, but those were the most compassion way to see things through.
At least the effect was not permanent.
Hae-Sun looked at her and tilted her head. A deceive above deceive. Can she trust what she was saying, or was it simply a technique for her to win this little dare? The female did not show much of a reaction after Miel had elaborated her methods in winning someone's trust and probably heart too. It was then the older female chuckles. Her eyes dramatically closed as her voice let out a humming sound. "Your skill makes any Succubus feels ashamed of themselves," She said with a shrug of her head. "I doubt there has never been one prey that slipped through you..." a clang sound heard as she moved her empty glass off the counter. "Or am I wrong?"
Rummages heard from outside of the nightclub that made Hae-Sun giraffed her neck so she could see over to the door. Her eyes blinked few times and quickly brought themselves towards the wall nearby. The wall clock showed few, specifically two, minutes more before Nightshade is open for business. Her attention brought back down to Miel and with a delightful smile on her lips she said, "It's almost time now." Hae-Sun would enjoy her accompany tonight, that is if she wanted to continue staying. The female began walking way from the bar and on her half-way to the center of the dance floor, she turned to face Miel's direction. Her arms widened up as she exclaimed, "Well, Miel. For tonight, let this nightclub be ours. You, can do whatever you want here and I, will see if you are the right one to be one of us."
To be one of us.
The female vulpine made one-sided grin. She rested her weight on one leg and has her arms crossed over her chest promptly as she lightly shook her body side to side. "Of course, not only you can have as many shots as you want without worrying the pills for the rest of your life, you will get to be part of things..." she backpedaled few steps and continued, "that might make your life a little adventurous." Chuckles lightened around her. She needed not to worry about being hated, for her skill was going to be put into good use. She needed not to worry about handling some cheap bastards, for she will persuade men with power and control. Man of the men, they said. Her voice heard gentle and alluring as she started pacing to the left, "no need to worry about being blamed, being alone, being bored and certainly, being ordinary."
She stopped. Her eyes looked back at Miel with seductive smile. "You can be anyone you want. Imagine the fun."
@mielle OOC: Wooo, Haine's setting up a game for her to see if she can do what she says.
