Hello, everyone! after dealing with real life and the other nonsense of living, panny and i have decided to bring back war of change. give a round of applause. we’ve worked through all of the information and hopefully improved coherency and cohesion; however, tell us if we missed something. eventually, we’ll announce an event to celebrate the re-opening, so look out for information on that. -RAIDNE, THE HEAD ADMIN
From the moonless night, screams of terror and fear resound, spreading across the world and infecting the masses; however, those sleepless nights occurred years ago. A new era began with the fires of war, and with no end in sight, the residents of Selene Isle trudge through life, basking in the momentary peace. Despite their prayers for continued monotony and peace, a storm brews, stirred to life by the continued presence of Rapture and Wraith. And as we set our sights on the seemingly peace laden isle, we must ask: how shall this tale end?
As the years passed, the number of true pairs increased; however, they continued to live in the shadows, catering to the whims of the mundane. Seven Moons kept watch over them all, instructing them and assisting them, but for many, the attitudes and ideals of the organization were smoldering, suffocating. With Seven Moons and the mundanes, they could not grasp the freedom, the power dangling before their eyes. In the beginning, rebellion was a dream, a fantasy, a figment—developed by the repressed and carried forward due to the nature of humanity. No one expected the call to sound, and no one expected the call to be answered. However, it happened.
Nightshade was located in the depths of Crescent Moon, accessible only at night for anyone who was affiliated with Rapture. Nayru had not long ago applied for a job as a dancer for this club, and she was incredibly nervous. She had failed to mention that her parents were the founders of Rapture, for she believed that nobody except Hae-Sun needed to know. If it reached the point where she had to reveal that fact, she would without hesitation. It was around ten o'clock at night, and the stars were blotted out by the city lights. The silver haired female could feel her heart race against her chest as she reached the entrance to the club, biting at her lip gently.
What if she didn't get the job? What if she messes up the choreography? So many what if questions filled her mind, but she shook her head to be rid of them. She had to remain calm, and be confident in herself, though self-confidence was not her strong point. Hesitant, she knocked on the door, jumping in surprise as it opened instantly. At the entrance stood a rather tall man, looking down at her with narrowed eyes. Nayru felt intimidated by him, but she couldn't run away now. She needed this job.
"Who are you? Never seen you around these parts." The man spoke, voice booming in her ears. Gulping mutely, the timid female began to speak.
"Pardon me, but I'm Nayru Calibur. I'm here for an interview." She spoke, making the man blink a few times before he smirked slightly.
"Ah, so you're here to acquire the job as dancer, yes?" He asked, making her nod eagerly. He laughed, patting the top of her head gently. "No need to be shy. Come on in." He added, leading her into the club and shut the door behind them.
The loud music made floor beneath Nayru's feet move, and the bright flashing lights made her feel nauseous. The poor girl was not used to this, and it made the man turn to her with concern. "You alright?" He spoke loudly over the music, making her nod to him.
"This way." He motioned to the stage as he began to walk over, with the female not far behind. As they reached backstage, Nayru sighed in relief as the music grew softer and her ears were no longer ringing. She looked around and noticed that there was barely anyone there. What was going on? The man soon started to speak.
"The boss has a test for you. If you pass it, you'll get the job. Your test is to dance for the crowd, and to keep them entertained." He spoke, causing the silver haired female to turn to him with wide eyes. "You have ten minutes to get ready." He finished before pointing to the changing room and turned heel to leave.
The girl took a deep breath and exhaled slowly, walking into the small room to get ready. Once done, she was wearing a strapless blue dress with large pieces of matching colored fabric attached to the sides. She was already getting stage fright, but she couldn't run away. She soon heard the DJ give the announcement for Nayru's performance. She immediately grew pale but walked onto the stage, spotlight aimed at her. Wincing, she bowed for the crowd then the music started.
That was when she began to dance. Her movements at the beginning were slow yet elegant, ignoring the fact that everyone was watching. Once the beat began to pick up, a smile graced her lips and her movements became faster and more fluid. She was gaining confidence now, and her smile grew as she heard the cheers fill up in her ears.

Sitting at one of the two crescent moon shaped bars furthest away from the stage, Shiori sipped generously at the lime green concoction before her. It was some tangy, citrus mixture with an almost neon layer of yellow pooled toward the stem; someone she could taste was definitely stronger than the iced slushy layer near the top. It hadn't been her idea to nurse the drink for over half an hour, but the prospect of drinking alone never seemed to entertain her much.
Shiori was very aware of what she put into her body, what she would have to eat or not eat to balance out her diet and give her the optimum levels of energy to burn and keep her well. It had taken her a day of fresh greens and steamed salon for her to allow herself to enjoy the evening drinking whatever she liked. It seemed strict to most people, but she considered her body a temple and always liked to be aware of the damage she might do to it. Getting sick always seemed like the end of the world to her, so she preferred to avoid it as much as she could, and that required a lot of regiment on her diet and physical activities.
Taking a long sip of the bright liquid, it's contents almost too bright when lit by the black lights above the bar, Shiori turned on her bar stool to take a look at the stage as an announcement came from the loud speaker system. 'A new dancer, hm?" Shiori thought to herself, her gaze narrowing 'I wonder if Haine set this up.. doesn't seem like the type of thing to benefit her any.'
Seeing the petite strawberry-blonde walk up to the stage, all nervous knees and stiff shoulders, Shiori couldn't help but feel grateful that she wasn't trapped in the girl's mind. Performing had never felt like a nerve-racking experience for the blossom haired girl, it had always made her feel like some otherworldly creature that deserved to be marvelled at by others. Nervous tension wasn't something she could relate to with other people when it came to performing, but that wasn't to say she had never experienced paralysing fear before. There was no way to avoid such things.
Hearing the sudden whir of clock ticking, Shiori cocked her head and began to focus a little more on the performance that was beginning before her. The soft, sweeping motions of the strangers body soon began to catch up as the sounds of a music box melody met a bass drop and loud, pacing strings, and the dancer's body moved as though it were on a separate dimensional plane to theirs.
Lifting herself from her seat and finishing off her drink, Shiori walked towards the stage door and through towards the back of the stage. She was determined to get in contact with the dancer that had entranced her so. Walking over to one of the sound technicians, Shiori bumped the girl's shoulder and waited for her to take her headset off "Hey, so, who's the new girl?" "Her name's, uhh.." the technician glanced down at a clip board in her arms and picked the girl's name off a list "Nayru Calibur." Nodding in thanks to the technician, Shiori moved toward the edge of the stage to wait until the girl was done performing, the sound of the crowd was almost deafening in her wake. Catching sight of the girl walking towards her, she called out to get her attention and began to walk back toward the entrance to the rest of the club "Hey, little Nayru, the name's Shiori. Let me buy you a drink."
The song began to pick up the pace as it was nearing its end, causing the silver haired female to grin brightly as her movements became even more precise, never missing a beat. Everyone in the crowd could tell she was enjoying herself on stage, her smile lighting up her face. Once the song reached its climax, she ended her performance with a graceful backflip and landed on her feet, the music fading into silence before the club was filled with cheers and applause. Nayru's ocean blue eyes sparkled with joy as she gave the crowd a proud bow, rushing backstage to look at the man who greeted her at the entrance.
He smirked down at the girl in approval, soon placing two fingers to his right ear as he received feedback from the second floor. Lowering his hand, he couldn't help but grin at the young female as he extended a hand to her. "You got the job. Good work out there, and we look forward to seeing you again." He said proudly, earning a happy smile from Nayru as she shook his hand.
"Thank you so much!" She spoke, then she caught a glimpse of a pink haired woman who appeared to be waiting for her. She tilted her head to the side as she looked her over, blinking a few times. Nayru was caught by surprise as the older woman said her name, offering her a drink and introducing herself.
She smiled nervously and bowed politely, standing straight soon after and looked up at her. "Thank you for your kind offer, but I'm very sorry to say that I'm under age when it comes to consuming alcohol." She said, yet walked with Shiori to the bar section of the club. Taking a seat on the stool beside her, she ordered a glass of water and wiped a drop of sweat off her forehead.

"Thank you for your kind offer, but I'm very sorry to say that I'm under age when it comes to consuming alcohol."
Ignoring the other girls comment until they both reached the bar, Shiori took a seat beside Nayru and watched as she made herself comfortable. There was no mistaking the post-performance jitters the girl was experiencing, as well as the typical signs of the adrenaline thrumming through her system.
Shiori continued to watch the other girl closely until her it could be deemed an almost inappropriately long time to keep ones eyes on another person. It was thoroughly interesting to watch the other girl though, seeing herself in Nayru's shoes and knowing exactly how she was feeling at that point in time - but multiplying it by one hundred percent. Street performing gave her a rush, but she had never experienced anything like what Nayru had just done.
"That's alright, I have no intention of trying to get you intoxicated," smiling, Shiori turned toward the bartender and raised her hand, grabbing the man's attention instantly "One normal, and one virgin, strawberry daiquiri please."
Shifting to lean against the bar, all elbows and curved spine, Shiori focussed her gaze back on her drinking companion and hummed slightly in thought of what she might say next. It was odd that Shiori had never seen this girl before - if she was part of Rapture, but having a stranger work in the Rapture-centric nightclub seemed even more confusing to the blossom. There was no easy way to ask about that sort of thing though, so Shiori would just have to investigate a little if she wanted answers.
"So, Nayru, tell me a bit about yourself. Your performance was amazing, you dance so well, how did you get into performing?"
Nayru nodded in thanks as Shiori ordered them both drinks, calming her nerves slowly but surely. She smiled tenderly as the older woman complimented her dancing, a small shade of pink painting her face. "Thank you very much," she giggled, moving a strand of hair away from her face. "I've been performing ever since I was in middle school. I've always found singing and dancing to be my passion, and I've been working hard to pursue a career in singing." She explained, her smile growing.
She looked up as their drinks were served, taking a sip of her water before turning to Shiori once more. "I suppose you're wondering how a regular civilian such as myself came to be working here," she laughed, then looked down nervously. "Well... Between you and me, my parents were the original founders of Rapture before they died, and I grew up with Haine-sama as a child." She admitted, looking to the blossom haired female.
"I promised myself that I wouldn't admit such things unless it was necessary, but I feel that I can trust you to keep this a secret for the time being." She spoke, then kept quiet to see her reaction.

Seeing the sprightly young girl show her enthusiasm for her talents, Shiori couldn't help but feel a little enamoured by the young girl. There was always a richness to those who really embraced their talents, it was a wonderful thing to watch, especially when it came from people who had nurtured their talents from a young age. Shiori admired that kind of commitment.
As the bartender lifted two tulip glasses onto the bar and began pouring the blended drinks into the two, Shiori lifted her arm to the bar and leaned her chin on the back of her hand. "You must have been a very dedicated child," Shiori laughed gently, stilling with a playful smile "I had many hobbies as a kid, but way more distractions. These days I'm a street performer, I'd like a professional gig but it kinda takes away the personal experiences with people."
"Well... Between you and me, my parents were the original founders of Rapture before they died, and I grew up with Haine-sama as a child."
After having waited for Nayru to continue, Shiori felt like she had received the little gem of information she'd been looking for, and without a large wait as well. Oh, and what a little gem it was! The original founders of Rapture's daughter was the person she just so happened to invite for drinks, this was a revelation indeed!
"The secret is safe with me, I promise," smiled Shiori, her expression unchanged as though she wasn't even slightly surprised "Did you really even have to audition then? I mean, if Haine-sama knows you well enough, I'm sure her little Nayru-chan must have won her over already. Surely you were just auditioning for the fun of it?"
