Hello, everyone! after dealing with real life and the other nonsense of living, panny and i have decided to bring back war of change. give a round of applause. we’ve worked through all of the information and hopefully improved coherency and cohesion; however, tell us if we missed something. eventually, we’ll announce an event to celebrate the re-opening, so look out for information on that. -RAIDNE, THE HEAD ADMIN
From the moonless night, screams of terror and fear resound, spreading across the world and infecting the masses; however, those sleepless nights occurred years ago. A new era began with the fires of war, and with no end in sight, the residents of Selene Isle trudge through life, basking in the momentary peace. Despite their prayers for continued monotony and peace, a storm brews, stirred to life by the continued presence of Rapture and Wraith. And as we set our sights on the seemingly peace laden isle, we must ask: how shall this tale end?
As the years passed, the number of true pairs increased; however, they continued to live in the shadows, catering to the whims of the mundane. Seven Moons kept watch over them all, instructing them and assisting them, but for many, the attitudes and ideals of the organization were smoldering, suffocating. With Seven Moons and the mundanes, they could not grasp the freedom, the power dangling before their eyes. In the beginning, rebellion was a dream, a fantasy, a figment—developed by the repressed and carried forward due to the nature of humanity. No one expected the call to sound, and no one expected the call to be answered. However, it happened.

She awoke to a fairy ring of pale yellow chalk dust and pressed her ring finger into the thickest collection point.
"Odd."
Ekani stamped the dust back onto the grey-green floor, leaving a smudged interpretation of her fingerprint, and then sat up. The blinds installed over the room's one small window where closed, but dust colored light managed to slip through the cracks in the slats, making horizontal bars across the woman's body. She inhaled a small mouthful of the stale air and rolled onto her back, the intricate dress spread around her like a set of rumpled butterfly wings. Once pristine, the garment had gone unwashed for several weeks now and was beginning to smell; each movement applied to the fabric yielded a tiny cloud of chalk dust and hair.
Ekani was unperturbed by these unhygienic developments, though, and would continue to wear it until she had to emerge from her small lodging. Which would be a while considering how slow operations had been around Nightshade. There was always the sounds of the club below, yes, but Ekani could stomach these troublesome noises for the sake of remaining tucked away behind her door and left to scribble away inside. Mostly she was bored with the lack of assignments to attend to: no urgent missions to plan, no blue prints to analyze, and hardly a word of affirmation from the outside. So she'd taken to drawing ill-fitting figures on the walls.
Some of them were animals-- foxes, cats, wolves, crows, sloths, rats-- and others were lopsided human-shaped creatures that resembled nobody in particular. These she pitted against each other in invisible wars; running the numbers of their triumphs and inevitable defeats all along the lower corners of the boards while the odd assortment of animals watched intently, their mouths dripping with anticipation for the carcasses of the loosing side.
When these childish, hypothetical games became boring, Ekani would tend to the ferns and ceramic bowls stuffed with soft soil and dark moss. Making sure each of them enjoyed an acceptable amount of sunlight and that each received enough of the bottled water she kept for occasions of her extended solitude.
Today, though, neither of these alternatives would satisfy the woman and she sat up slowly, rising to meet the sunlight shining between blinds. Taking the cord that controlled them, she opened the slats all the way and squinted up at the sky. The city smog was heavier than usual and she opted to keep the glass sealed to avoid fouling the air in the room. Creeping to the door, her extensive skirts dragging across her old handiwork, Ekani pressed her ear to the wood and listened for movement. Upon hearing none she cracked the door and peeked through tentatively. Still no one.
The bathroom was only a few paces and a staircase away. Taking a deep breath, the woman made a mad dash down the stairs; bare feet pounding softly on the thick floor panelling and praying that she would not encounter anyone during her desperate descent.

For two days and three nights she has been sleeping in one of the rooms in Nightshade. To be precise, for two days and three nights she has been taking care of her little baby lion. Dantalion was a brave boy- brave but stupid and stubborn young boy. How many times she told him not to wander outside the compound at night longer? She understood the importance of him not to be around when Rapture was having a group gathering because he was not one of them and it was an unfortunate turn of event and loss.
Her eyes raised up from an open book rested on her crossed leg lap. Reading books was not the best way for her to waste her spare time, but this was the only thing that she could do to keep herself from leaving the room and to entertain herself while waiting for the sick boy who was laying on the bed in front of her to wake up. The sound of faint clock ticking in the room reminded Hae-Sun to glance at the time, just like what she had done few times. Her eyes made their way to the clock's direction and located where the two needles were pointing at. She turned the book facing downward on her knee and turned for the boy.
"Leon, wake up." She called his name and repeated it again but louder. A sigh escaped from her mouth whens he realized this was futile. Indeed, it was. She knew the best method to wake him up is to shake him gently on his shoulders but she has already been feeling comfortable on the couch. Soft shifts heard she made a gesture to sit with her back away from leaning against the seat. "Leon, get up now," she said and made her voice sounded as stern as possible. Her eyebrows did knit lightly since she really wanted not to use any physical method of waking this sleeping log up. Another sigh but heavier escaped from her mouth. She got up after she had a good hold on her book, headed for the door and twist the door knob. Light click sound heard as the door opened after low creaks. Her eyes were glancing down and when they looked up, she noticed a figure was about to get out as well.
"Ekani," she called the person's name calmly. It was a rare chance of meeting the Regalia since she preferred to be in her own dimension and world, that is her room. Hae-Sun respected her fellow comrades and their... bizarre ways of being functional. She left the door's side and stepped a bit outside of the room so she could see her clearer. "What's up?" she asked. Okay, it was the lamest question she could think to ask but, well, at least she asked. Chuckling, she shook her head and leaned lightly against the wall behind her. "Sorry, I meant to ask how have you been? Are you working on something?" To be honest, Ekani was the first Regalia she felt kind of awkward to be around with. Perhaps because the Rat was not as interactive as others.
No. Perhaps the Rat was just too sneaky she felt unsafe around her sometimes.
@rat OOC: OTZ I am soo so sooooo sorry! Leon comes in after few rounds. The boy's still asleep.

The voice behind her unmistakable and Ekani froze, letting only a little cry of surprise indicate she had heard her leader's words. Somewhere in the decrepit building a wooden floorboard creaked under the weight of something both invisible and inevitable. Slowly, she turned to face the fox.
"Hae-Sun. I did not expect to see you."
Smiling, she bobbed her head in a quick but reverent bow before folding her hands in front of her waist as if waiting on some dire, unsettling news. When only the casual inquiry came, Ekani titled her head to the side, eyes focused on that great, intangible force winding its way through Nightshade. It took her another instant to draw herself back into the Regalia's words,
"Sorry, I meant to ask how have you been? Are you working on something?"
"I'm in my usual health, ma'am, nothing too pressing to weight me into any fits or..." her eyes darted to her door, which she'd carelessly left ajar, "Incidents."
In the silence that followed, the rat adjusted her round rimmed spectacles and brushed out some of the chalk from her skirts. The state of her appearance finally dawning on her, Ekani bowed her head again,
"Please forgive my dress and smell. I loose track of my manners when I stay shut up with The Numbers for so long."
Her bladder throbbed, reminding the recluse as to why she'd sacrificed her delicate solitude for this venture in the first place. Wanting to rid herself of the physical discomfort, Ekani gestured towards the stairs,
"I would like to come back to this conversation, Hae-Sun, but I'm afraid my body will not stand for idleness any longer," she chanced a weak smile towards the fox, "You can accompany me to the washroom if you so desire. After all, you seem," she chose her words meticulously, "In need of company?"
[newclass=.pinky]background-color: #db506c;text-align:center;color: #db506c;height:100px;-webkit-transition: all .5s linear;-moz-transition: all .5s linear;-ms-transition: all .5s linear;-o-transition: all .5s linear;transition: all .5s linear;[/newclass][newclass=.pinky:hover]background-color: #e27a8f;text-align:center;color:#fafafa;-webkit-transition: all .5s linear;-moz-transition: all .5s linear;-ms-transition: all .5s linear;-o-transition: all .5s linear;transition: all .5s linear;[/newclass]
Okay, so far so good with this conversation. The Vulpes nodded her head slowly as Ekani answered her question. The silvery eyes have this habit of looking at people's face as she speaks and so, for the obvious reason, she noticed the way Ekani was shifting her glance here and there seemed rather unsettling. Was something bothering her? She bang her head gently to the door frame as she too glanced to the female's door. She took a quick glance on what was inside the room and looked away in pretense she did not see anything.
Smart people are always weird. It is as though they live in a complete different than others. But then again, it is because they are smart they are different. A light shrug was made by her shoulders over the thought. She pushed herself off the concrete surface she was leaning against and placed one hand casually on her hip. Her head inclined lightly as she looked back at her. "Ah, no. It's fine," she said with her head shook lightly. "There's no need to apologize for it. What matter is you always keep yourself clean and pleasant when we are on a meeting," she noted. As Regalia, both Hae-Sun and Ekani understood the importance of being appealing to others. For someone like her who is being watched constantly by many people, the Vulpes ensured that she was always in her best shape. Spare gloves were always kept inside one of pockets of her coat she usually put on when she was called for an urgent task. Sometimes she wished her father was not the founder, she could take a break from taking all the emergency quests.
The vulpine chuckled lightly at Ekani's urgent need to leave this conversation. She raised an eyebrow in jokingly manner and replied spontaneously, "what makes you said that?" The female rubbed her cheek involuntarily as her mind thought perhaps she could see through her bored expression. She looked behind into the room where Dantalion was sleeping and back at the woman. A smile was kindly offered. "How considerate of you, though," she replied with a small nod. And so, the fox decided to march with the rat, leaving the baby lion to wake up on his own later.
He has been awake for quite some minutes, unable to dwell himself in sleep any longer than his body needed. His body reacted automatically to the gentle voice of the female calling him. He did not open his eyes but he was well aware of the woman's call to wake him up. Murmurs escaped from his mouth that sounded something like "give me few minutes more" and "I'm too tired to get up".
In the world where only Dante and he live, he found himself resting on a long couch in the living hall in his old house. Both legs were bent and hugged close to him as he continued sleeping with his body and head leaned against another boy's. The other boy was Dante, who who was watching the television. His eyes glanced down to Leon. "Hey, Leon," he shrugged his shoulder where the boy was leaning on. "Leon, wake up," he called him. Seconds dragged its way and finally, the sleeping boy opened his eyes slowly, both in the dream and in reality. He blinked few times and tried to get a grip of his senses. The sound of fan spinning slicing the air and faint voices of people talking. He blinked more and focused.
"Haine..." He huffed the name gently and turned his head slowly to the side to where a couch was located. Emerald eyes focused on the empty seat for few seconds and scrolled away to the door. Raven-haired woman was standing by the door with her back facing him. Who was she talking to? He wondered and sensed a figure was standing near her, blocked by the wall. He pushed himself to, wanting to be part of the conversation but before he could sit up, the two had gone. Faint stomps heard as the two began walking along the hallway to the stairs. Headache stung his head and every muscle in him responded in intense. He should not force himself, but he has to. Being alone scared him. He wanted to go where they were going and so, he rolled himself slowly to the side and placed one leg on the ground.
"Ugh..." He grunted painfully. He pulled himself up, tried to stand straight and, as soon as his senses came, looked around for a towel. He needed a shower. Yeah, he needed one. Nodding slowly to his thought, he grabbed a white thick towel nearby and started walking with his body swaying here and there. God, it feels like he was on a rocky boat ride! Every step he took made his head felt like being squashed by a big stone. "Haine!" he shouted as he flopped himself to the door frame, head stretched out so he could see the raven-haired. His emerald eyes noticed another figure- someone he has no idea who, or someone his brain could not identify. His eyebrows furrowed as his eyes glared at the figure. "...who is that?" he asked, pretty much in an annoying tone.

Ekani ran her dark fingers over the filthy, rumpled fabric of her skirts again, smoothing over her internal sentiments along with the clothe. There was irritability lurking behind her placid expression, but she would never allow this darkness to surface and instead smiled with her usual subtly at the head Regalia,
"Your presence is proof enough, Hae-Sun," a moment of reflection, "You are not the type to engage in my company unless you have a request or you are feeling out of sorts."
The interjection of the sickly boy, did not spark a reaction in the reserved woman, who's bodily functions' demands had spiked from a low, reminding whine to sharp pangs running through Ekani's lower abdomen. Masking a wince with her turn, the strategist's eyes focused on the bed ridden youth with curiosity; his plight into illness another factor to add to the Chalk Room when she managed to seal herself inside again.
"Hello, little master," she managed a little bow despite the objection from her bladder, "I would assume you are feeling under the weather? My condolences for your good health."
There were some in Rapture who acknowledged Leon's existence as a burden brought on by the Vulpes' moral soft spots, and Ekani herself would silently question the retainment of the genial, but otherwise useless teenager. She had an unassuming air and her ears to the vents often enough to catch wind of the rumors seeped into the congregation of masks: the boy a betrayer or, at the very least, the pawn to a force that would wrench Rapture apart without hesitation, and that h had been the indirect cause of many deaths of lower ranking Rapture members. Her mental temperance and dedication to facts staved off the temptation to believe these hushed accusations, but she was aware that she felt natural resentment towards the boy; if not only for his lack of skills to be used by Rapture. But, then again, she felt this subtle resentment towards most people.
Dropping her voice, she canted towards Haine and blinked her large, observant eyes in concern,
"Is he afflicted with anything serious, ma'am?"
Unlikely, Ekani knew, based on the Vulpes' composure. Yes, Hae-Sun could stuff her desires and emotions into her business-like facade, but Ekani had witnessed first hand her concern for others. People and their well being were, it seemed, the only thing that could truly cripple the proud fox.
