Hello, everyone! after dealing with real life and the other nonsense of living, panny and i have decided to bring back war of change. give a round of applause. we’ve worked through all of the information and hopefully improved coherency and cohesion; however, tell us if we missed something. eventually, we’ll announce an event to celebrate the re-opening, so look out for information on that. -RAIDNE, THE HEAD ADMIN
From the moonless night, screams of terror and fear resound, spreading across the world and infecting the masses; however, those sleepless nights occurred years ago. A new era began with the fires of war, and with no end in sight, the residents of Selene Isle trudge through life, basking in the momentary peace. Despite their prayers for continued monotony and peace, a storm brews, stirred to life by the continued presence of Rapture and Wraith. And as we set our sights on the seemingly peace laden isle, we must ask: how shall this tale end?
As the years passed, the number of true pairs increased; however, they continued to live in the shadows, catering to the whims of the mundane. Seven Moons kept watch over them all, instructing them and assisting them, but for many, the attitudes and ideals of the organization were smoldering, suffocating. With Seven Moons and the mundanes, they could not grasp the freedom, the power dangling before their eyes. In the beginning, rebellion was a dream, a fantasy, a figment—developed by the repressed and carried forward due to the nature of humanity. No one expected the call to sound, and no one expected the call to be answered. However, it happened.

MAKES MY HEART DANCES IN JOY
He was well aware of his disability- that he was blind- but he wanted to be a helpful young man and offered to do the honor of delivering a bouquet of flowers to a customer.
"It is not that troublesome, really! The location is only few blocks away, right?" He said while his hands busy fixing his red jacket with rabbit ears hood Xoan bought for him. He needed to look at his best for the customer since this would be his first time meeting customers outside the flower shop. Satoru, who was his co-worker prepared him a map card along with the name a contact number, just in case he got lost. He was worried for this snow-haired boy but Kouki insisted to go on his own. He claimed he was old enough and can take care of himself.
And so he departed.
Kouki was carrying the bouquet in one arm while holding a walking cane with another hand. He tapped the floor twice as soon as his feet stepped outside the shop and began counting along the away. To be honest, being outside and in open area like the city streets scares him. He was afraid that he might end up troubling people. He could have bumped into people, or people felt pity of him and wanted to help. He did not want that! He preferred if they just let him be as he is and proceed with their busy way. After properly counted his step, he stopped. According to his calculation, there should be a junction nearby and he needed to cross it.
The junction was supposed to be for pedestrians only, there should not be any problem. He took his steps and starts crossing it but his ears caught distant sound of car engine. His ears stood up straight, trying to pick up where the machine was coming from, only to realize it was very close and coming very fast! In panic, he skipped a step and stumbled down. He has his arm clamped on the bouquet of flowers as if he was using his own body to protect it. His eyes shut tightly as the car approached.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS HEROISM,
The sun was glaring down upon the unsuspecting civilians of Selena Isle. It was a peaceful Saturday afternoon, the streets were bustling with pedestrians. Lajos was enjoying a peaceful walk after visiting the adoption center. It was a awful habit of his, helping out others regardless of whether they asked. Something he hated, despised, but continued. Not to mention he also continued it because he could not resist the call of the fluffy kittens.
"Ah, Midnight and Snowflake. I wonder how they are doing," mumbled an unobservant, Lajos. He was quite fond of those two kittens. It was mainly because they were fond of Lajos, himself. Today Lajos was wearing casual wear. He wore a white pair of shorts that went to his knees. His shirt was an ugly mess of colors. You know those shirts, yeah, those shirts that you only get when you go to Hawaii. His shirt was that, all green with a splash of vibrant colors mixed in everywhere around the shirt. For shoes he....was, wait, was he wearing socks with sandals? He was and if the fashion police was a thing he would have been arrested a long time ago.
Where was he going now? He was still indecisive on that matter. He could wonder the streets or go back to his apartment and relax. Since it was mid-afternoon it didn't seem right to take a nap nor did he really want to do nothing all day. Just as he was thinking this there was something that caught his eye. A boy with white hair that was devoid of any color. The hair could easily be mistook for snow if the right conditions were afoot. Dark red eyes, comparable to that of a ruby. His eyes were...unfocused, as if he didn't need to use his sight. He was small, well, at least when compared to Lajos. A small physique and just barely over five feet tall. He looked feminine and even easy to mistake for a girl if one isn't attentive. Around the frail boy's hand was a...cane, a walking cane to be exact. While there was also a bouquet in his other hand, what attracted his attention more was his cane.
The boy was blind? Upon further speculation, it proved to be undeniable. Why was a blind person walking around unassisted? It was foolish, well at least in Lajos' eyes. It was then that an incident happened. The tires of a car shrieked and people immediately headed back towards the side. Well, some, others went to the side they were going to. Despite this the person who Lajos had his eyes on fell. Yes, tripped during a crucial moment. Instead of leaving the bouquet of flowers and walking he....protected the flowers with his body.
"Idiot," Lajos muttered as he rushed for the boy. His heart slammed inside his chest and he felt the wind slam against his face. With each step, his foot pushed down and kicked off giving him a little more speed. Even that little bit of speed is important when it concerns somebody's life. Judging from the sound of the car it was not slowing down, in fact it was speeding up. He had to act fast. The boy was still on the ground, froze like a deer in headlights. Lajos slowed down and came to a near stop when he approached the boy. Instead of dragging him, Lajos picked up the boy and held him in a princess carry. Yes, a bit overdramatic but it was better than dragging his body across the asphalt. He held tightly onto the bouquet of flowers, the same thing he was risking his life to protect but unfortunately his cane slipped off his hand and laid in the road. With the blind child in hand Lajos started to take back off. Adrenalin pumping through his entire existence. Faster, faster, faster. He sprinted off with all his might trying to avoid the car attempting to take their life.
Vroom, crack, that was the sound of the car driving over the cane left by them. They....nearly dodged the car. The car's rear mirrors almost slammed into Lajos' ribs. It could have been devastating but he managed, somehow. With that he looked at the flabbergasted boy in his arms.
"Are you an idiot," asked a deadpan Lajos. Although he asked this question, Lajos was quite certain that the boy was safe which gave him some relief.

MAKES MY HEART DANCES IN JOY
He was on the ground, waiting to get hit since the loud growling engine from the car, that was coming straight for him, convinced him that there was not enough time for it to stop or for him to get up and escape. In the spur of moment, all Kouki could think of was his best friend and the customer who was supposed to received the congratulations bouquet. He mentally said sorry to Xoan because he was an idiot and has always troubled him, and to the customer because he was unable to hand over the gift and said congratulations himself. He hoped there will be a pedestrian who saw this incident and was kind enough to send the bouquet on his and Sweet Brier's behalves.
Few seconds left before the impact.
His senses were all on high alert because of the fight situation he was in. His ears caught incoming rushing steps towards him. A presence that was too foreign to him was nearing. He did not react to it and continued to resume his role as flesh shield for the fragile living thing in his arms. Kouki was scooped up and released a terrified meep. He did not fight, or more like he could not fight because he was too terrified by both the situation and the presence. His empathy involuntarily synced with him- a man that seemed to be lost in his life. His eyes fixated on an aimless direction, unable to see the reality. Instead, he could see clouds in his mind.
The man saved both himself and Kouki, who was being carried in his arms like a bride. Eyes watched him after they had glared at the car that continued to speed ahead, took a corner of the junction and vanished out of sight. The loud growl of the car engine heard slowly distant away and gone. Others began chattering about this, whether the car was meant to hit the boy or something. Speculation by speculation rose among the passersby, while they watched the man who saved and has the poor deliver boy in his arms.
Kouki did not pay attention to the random voices and was attracted to this new and strange feeling he picked up from the man. Even though he was wearing jacket that made of thick material, Kouki was still able to pick the emotions he has. Such strong and overwhelming presence he has, that was able to sweep away the fear and horror inside the fighter's heart. Unconsciously, moved by the extreme concern lingered in the air around the man who saved him, Kouki chuckled.
"I'm sorry to worry you, sir. Thank you for saving me and the flowers," his voice echoed gently in the small air between them. He curled his shaken fingers around the bouquet wrapper, trying to ease himself. He could have been hit by the car if he did not take leap front to save him. He called him an idiot, but was he not an idiot too to risk himself being rammed by a car just to save a stranger? Kouki simply chuckled at the thought, almost like he was amazed that there was someone who could pull off something like this in this world.
"There's not supposed to be any car using this path," he exclaimed. It was exactly because this path was pedestrian-only that he thought of using it. He tilted his head, wondering why the car was there.
"You are pretty strong to carry a man like me," he remarked over his ability to carry him, a twenty-one year old grown-up man. Well, he has never seen through a mirror and realized he was not exactly a grown up like he claimed.
Lajos Einsberg the bae is admiring his strength hurhurhur

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS HEROISM,
An adult like him? It was hard to believe that he was twenty-one. Lajos believed he could easily pass for a teenager but to also think that he was heavy was astounding. Even though there was not supposed to be a car on this path it doesn't mean that a blind person should be walking alone. A sigh escaped from Lajos' mouth as he squatted down and put the...adult on his feet.
"You are pretty light for being twenty-one." He said fairly casually with a shrug of his shoulder, not like he could see it anyway. But wouldn't it be fairly easy to carry somebody as light-weight as him? Well, it would be especially easy for somebody who works out frequently like Lajos.
"But you need to be more careful. Who the hell lets somebody who is blind walk alone on their own? You could have gotten yourself killed-no, would have gotten yourself killed if I hadn't stepped in. Seriously, what sort of idiot values flowers over their own life? I have never met somebody as moronic as you, really, I would think that people like you would be extinct by now." Harsh, no exceedingly harsh. One would think that Lajos would be a bit nicer to somebody who almost died but nope. The reason he was so harsh? Well, he needed to get it through his skull that what he did was stupid. Well, it's not like he has any room to talk about idiocy since he was the one who saved him. But upon saying that Lajos placed a firm hand on the boy's left shoulder.
"I bet that there would at least be somebody that would cry if you got hurt. And if they would cry for your sake then I bet you wouldn't want to see them sad. So don't risk your life for anything, especially something as replaceable as flowers." His lips formed into a forced, dry smile. Even though he was smiling anyone could tell that it was forced and he was recalling something of the past. Ah, when did he become such a hypocrite and a faker? Even if he said such ideal, noble things he himself did not value his life. Hell, the reason why he saved him was because it would have been better if the boy was alive than himself. Nevertheless, here he is. Still living and breathing, like always.
"Enough about the lecture just be sure to reflect. It makes it a lot easier on me if I don't have to keep running around to save people like you from danger. Ah, sorry about your cane though," Lajos said as he looked over his shoulder to what used to be his cane.
"Oh yes, I forgot something. I am Lajos Einsberg. If it is too hard for you to remember just call me Jay like the others." Lajos extended his right hand for him to sake...only to remind that he was blind. So Lajos took his right hand and grabbed the other's hand forming a firm handshake...well, at least Lajos' hand was firm.
"I'll help walk you to where you need to go since your cane is broke. If you want you can hold my hand." Well, that was...sorta weird? Having to hold another's hand even though they weren't too far about, age-wise, it was still weird. But it was just an offer, nothing set in stone. Unfortunately for Kouki he didn't not know about Lajos' horrible sense of direction. Luckily though, Kouki could not see the sickly attire Lajos was wearing so that makes the trip a little more bearable? Who should really be sorry is the person who ordered the bouquet of flowers. If Lady Luck is on their side then perhaps their flowers will arrive...within the day?

YOUR SMILE
MAKES MY HEART DANCES IN JOY
Others looked at them with an awkward expression on their faces. It was strange enough to see an adult man would wear such fashion crime shirt in the public. It got stranger when he carried a teenage boy like a bride in his arms. Well, maybe it was not too strange since such scene happened quite often among true pairs. They assumed these two were a unit and thus explained the closeness between them, but honestly, they were not. Kouki was put back on his feet and he was put carefully. The white-haired florist continued to smile, and meep a little, as he felt his feet were back on the ground.
His comment about him being light even though he was quite old was not taken by heart at all. He admitted he was quite thin and slender, since Xoan continuously yapped at him to eat because he did not as big appetite as other men of his age. His best friend was also twenty-one like him, but his build was rather muscular compared to him. Xoan was like a guard dog and Kouki was like Chihuahua, if that ever make sense.
He took few seconds to position himself. Unable to see where he was standing, the blind young man slid his feet a bit here and a bit there, trying to pick up a clue or two of where he should be heading. His fingers trailed along the wrapper as he changed the way he held the bouquet. His ears stood up throughout the stranger's complaint about the situation. To be honest, he kind of reminded him if a former co-worker he used to work with. He used to scold the snow-haired florist about his recklessness to disregard the fact that he was blind and he should learn to appreciate his life more. He would pitch the innocent young man's cheek in annoyance because all Kouki could do is smile and chuckles at the sudden explosion.
To be honest, Kouki felt happy when people voice their concerns about him and scolded him. It may sound harsh to others but to the blind Fighter, it was a sign that that someone was generous and very kind to care about others, let alone to a stranger like this guy over here. His lecture may invite unnecessary comments about how he should not get angry over a blind boy like him because, it is not like he asked for it, but to Kouki, his words hummed with gentleness and attention. Then, the man placed his hand on his shoulder.
It was then, Kouki felt the sudden change of air inside him. He picked up something like a water ripple, that echoed in an empty cave. The water rippled once more and the sound traveled through the space in the cave. It was lonely and distant. The emotion was not that overwhelming that it influenced his state of mind. It was more like the person himself was holding back from letting the sorrow took over him. Kouki could tell it was not something this man wanted. Such pain, Kouki wondered what had this courageous man gone through.
"Oh yes, I forgot something. I am Lajos Einsberg. If it is too hard for you to remember just call me Jay like the others," the savior introduced himself. The snow-like ears perked up interested over the two names he mentioned and Kouki quickly registered the name in his mind. Mr. Savior: Lajos Einsberg, aka Jay the Savior. He chuckled in delight. "Jay it is then, though I hope to be able to try and call your full name one day, Jay," he said.
"I'll help walk you to where you need to go since your cane is broke. If you want you can hold my hand," Jay offered Kouki the help he needed but Kouki was at first shook his hand. "Please don't trouble yourself, Jay. As you can see, I am capable of walking on my own," he tried to refuse his offer. He did not want to take his precious time to help him deliver something that was not his concern. But at the same time, without his cane, he was in a complete disadvantage. Not to mention, he could not tell if the next turn would be few steps of his left, or of his right. Realizing his situation, the blind Fighter flattened his ears back and dropped his tail, embarrassed.
"But then again, I'm sorry that I have to trouble you, Jay. I hope you don't mind to guide me to deliver this gift," he said in the mixture of apologetic and guilt. His hand slowly patted the air for the 'hand' he offered and when he found it, he let the another man held him. His skin was totally different compared to Xoan- rather rough and thick. Was he a fighter? Like, an actual physical fighter.
"I am Kouki Futaba, call me Kouki or just Kou, a florist at Sweet Brier." he excitedly introduced himself while his hand firmly held Jay's like a child held his parent's hand.
Lajos Einsberg hahaha Kouki just immune to Tsun tsun bae.
